    #5229110 -

MDMA...fuck, Im thinking of soaking a towel with raw ether, setting it in front on me while Im sitting in lotus, and absorbing the slow evaporating fumes to achieve unfathomably high levels of consciousness.

Write down your dreams then, you'll be surprised how many more hidden memories of it spring up from the subconscious.

> Could mdma assist meditation?

I have used it with meditation and been amazed at the results. I used an extremly low dosage, only around 30mg, nowhere near what people take to roll. At this low of a dosage, I don't really notice the effects, but my focus is very sharp. I have not tried meditation on high dosages and suspect that it would be difficult to maintain the proper focus while rolling.

I am surprised at the closed mindedness of the replies you have gotten so far.

I've never tried taking a small dose of MDMA, maybe I will tonight.

I tried once, my first time actually. I managed to do it for about five minutes, but I found my attention was jumping around so fast, I would have had to meditate for quite a while if I even wanted a hope of reaching any level of focus. When I'm on MDMA I feel as if I want to do and experience anything and everything.

The first hour prior to the 'blow-up' results in a Zen satori-like state that comes spontaneously without the need to meditate (at least for me and my Lady). This satori-like state (albeit, one of attenuated oneness and equanimity) then gives way to an entirely different state -The 'blow-up.' This unique state sometimes occurs so quickly that there is no awareness of the transition. Suddenly, one is in the throes of an 'affective ecstasy.'

Satori has nothing to do with ecstatic states of mind. Satori is the realization of non-duality beyond considerations of subject and object. When one sees clearly through the illusion of "self" and "other", that is the realization known as satori. Discovering the essencelenss nature of oneself and consequently the phenomenal universe.

Can you honestly say that MDMA offers anything like this kind of realization?

Nope, but I can honestly say it can lead one by the hand to the open gate.

I like Vicaprofin or Vicadin. Take two on an empty stomach and meditate away.

Sinbad have you ever tried MDMA?  I have tried it in a theraputic setting. It's pretty amazing. :mushroom2:

Low dosage is very different than high dosage... gotta agree with you... as long as you are not looking for a roll, the low dosages (theraputic dosages) can have some amazing effects... though typically not the sort of effects a "recreational oriented" person is looking for.
