I'm dreaming you just as I am dreaming myself. We have choosen this dream for learning not for avoiding. Waking up is enevitable, but another dream may be in store, forever.

The small I wants to avoid dreaming, because in it's insecurity it wants to become all. Understanding this allows one to practice controlled folly and continue until the natural end of the dream which we call death.

"did jesus distance himself from worldly problems or refuse to deal with regular folk/sound like a fool?"
nah, but he also got crusified coz he pissed off the wrong people, dunno if he sounded like a fool coz i wasnt there to hear him and i havent paid that much attention to bible.

"if it hasn't worked for the previous few thousand years what makes you think it can work now?"
there is a whole variety of cultures currently on earth from tribal indigenous people that still live in commune with nature to western consumers-workers, how can you say that they are all going straight to hell and whatever it is that they are doing doesnt work? the devastation of earth seems to be pretty much doings of the techno-capitalistic system alone and i agree that it doesnt work.

"a higher understanding is the only thing that will solve the conflicts on earth."
now thats a bold statement. you know.. if you asked participants of any conflict they would all probably claim to have some kind of higher understanding. what makes yours any more right than theirs? the fact that you can talk neatly about structure of consciousness?

when i said that work has to be done in this "lower" state of mind i meant that you dont repair a house if you are a mile above the house.

You have a point. I think you can work in both places. But we live in the human form and this is where we need to be, until we don't.

i never said they were going straight to hell but i also don't believe these tribes live as peacefully and harmoniously as you think. they often fight wars amongst themselves for instance. perhaps the only reason they don't destroy the earth is because they don't have the means to do so yet.

what makes anyone's anymore right than anyone elses? this is the type of reasoning that leads to chaos and relatively. do you agree that some ideas are better than others? i am not saying my opinion is better than anyone elses. i am simply saying this is my opinion and if i didn't think it had any value or truth to it i wouldn't hold onto it as an opinion. what makes you think your opinion has any value?

human behavior is an outpicturing of their state of consciuousness. it's clear to me from observing human behavior that the state of consciousness currently dominent on earth is one of relativity, fear, greed and selfishness. this is what's at the root of all the violence, abuse of power, sexual abuse of children, etc that we see on earth. until we leave our desires for these things behind, until we change ourselves, how do you expect them to go away? conflicts would work out better if we learned to love eachother. as long as people continue to put their own selfish lower desires ahead of the welfare of the species and the planet the problems will not be fixed. there's a saying that goes " you can't change the wolrd without changing yourself first" or something like that.

when i said that work has to be done in this "lower" state of mind i meant that you dont repair a house if you are a mile above the house.

this is completely untrue in relation to consciousness. i can do a better job repearing a house from a higher state of consciousness. in a lower state of consciousness my mind becomes distracted and i tend to make more mistakes and cut corners so i can get finished sooner. however, if i am a mile above the house in consciousness, the job ceases to be a burden and so i'm free to do my best possible work.

There is true spirituality and then there is negative-spirituality, lets not confuse the two:

The more human you are, the more spiritual you also are, because when you are authentically human you will shed tears, you will love, you will rejoice in orgasms, you will enjoy digging into a garden, and not seeing that such activities are beneath you because you are on a spiritual path. When individuals enter that realm of negative spirituality, they forget their most basic empathic humanity, the ability to love others and as a reflection of that inability become unable to love themselves. And that indeed is the saddest thing of all.

i?d guess that some do and some dont. and btw i never said that i think they live this way i was only saying that there are whole variety of cultures when you claimed that everything people have done past few thousands years doenst work

"this is the type of reasoning that leads to chaos and relatively"
well i dont really see nothing wrong with those two, i think there lies beauty in complete and utter chaos. and if your reasoning doesnt acknowledge deep relativeness of everything then where will it lead?

and dude when you are a mile above the house you arent IN the house or even nearby, thus not able to fix it and that was kinda my point earlier. u talk about higher states but even fail to see this simple metaphor..

i didn't mean to claim everything people have done doesn't work, there are a lot of good things in the world. however there are a lot of terrible things people do as well and i would like to see them reduced or eliminated. i don't see that happening until people rise above selfishness and begin to desire to help eachother more.

my reasoning does ascknowledge the relativeness of everything but its based on the idea that there is a "middle way" between the extremes of the relative mind. i believe there is a truth beyond relative truth, otherwise relative truth couldn't exist.

i understood the metaphor but i don't see how it applies to consciousness. being in a higher state of consciousness doesn't mean you are physically in a different place. you can be a mile above the house in consciousness and still work on fixing it. this is what is meant by "being in the world but not of the world".

nice that you made this clear, what you said earlier sounded like denial of relativeness or somethin.

"i understood the metaphor but i don't see how it applies to consciousness"
this is what i hate about arguments of this nature, your bound to be misunderstood somehow or not understood at all. well if u couldnt grasp it i guess its no biggie
