by Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young
Got out of town on a boat gon' to southern islands. Sailing a reach before a following sea. She was making for the trades on the outside, And the downhill run to Papeete
Off the wind on this heading lie the Marquesas. We got eighty feet of waterline nicely making way. In a noisy bar in Avalon, I tried to call you, But on a midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away.
Think about how many times I have fallen. Spirits are using me; larger voices callin'. What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten. I have been around the world, lookin' for that woman-girl Who knows love can endure. And you know it will.
When you see the Southern Cross for the first time, You understand now why you came this way. 'Cause the truth you might be runnin' from is so small, But it's as big as the promise, the promise of a comin' day.
So I'm sailing for tomorrow. My dreams are a-dying. And my love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain. I have my ship, and all her flags are a-flying. She is all that I have left, and music is her name.
Think about how many times I have fallen. Spirits are using me; larger voices callin'. What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten. I have been around the world, lookin' for that woman-girl Who knows love can endure. And you know it will. And you know it will.
So we cheated and we lied and we tested. And we never failed to fail; it was the easiest thing to do. You will survive being bested. Somebody fine will come along make me forget about loving you In the Southern Cross.

Okay, I have to run to the store (*hic*) to get some more, um, margarita mix. I expect someone to comment on why I highlighted the parts I highlighted by the time I get back. Yous got about 15 minutes. Give or take a half hour.

Very nice, MM.
For me, it's all about life, and making mistakes, and seeing what's going on behind the scenes, and getting off my butt and doing what I need to be doing, to make things right.
And the second part (I think second) that I highlighted, is true, although at times, it's true in reverse. Some things we treat with contempt or as if insignificantly, and yet they are big and worthy of all our attention. We kick small things that are deserving of our attention aside, as if they are meaningless, when if we focused on them, they could unlock many doors.
And the last part, things we do wrong, ways we try to get around the system, and eventually we figure out that we have to do it like everyone else, except maybe not exactly like everybody else. We can have our niches.

Hey, no problem, although the lawyer in me screams, "WTF do you mean, destroy the evidence!!! Don't you know we could be DISBARRED!?!??"

"I am my hero"
it sounds like we are more in common than i realized
Although, sometimes where i never expected it, i found some help
Insanity? I dont think so. I think more than anything, it is how you grow, and how you adjust to the ever changing world.
Some resist it and stay the same, or they find complacency in what they have learned, and dont seek to change the way they think. ------ HOw well we adapt to change may be our biggest clue to awareness. That makes sense though. dont you think?
