Re: The "THUMBPRINT" [Re: Learyfan] * 2
    #22789178 -

Hey guys, so I know nothing has been posted in here in a little while, but I finally finished reading through this thread, 57 pages. Incredible stories in here and just like many other people, I was moved to join the Shroomery and share my stories as well. First off I wanna say many thanks to Chinacat and Whiterasta. Their stories were really inspiring and brought many things to light for me. I decided to share my first LSD trip experience with you guys as it has very similar elements to many earlier posts that have been discussed in this thread.

Note: Throughout my life, I never held a religious belief, never really followed a religion, but I always believed that there is SOMETHING there, some otherworldly presence watching over us. I have just lived through way too many coincidences to believe they simply happen. I do mention "god" in this trip report, but as you guys will see, I was just trippin balls, that isn't my belief. This might be kinda long, but here goes:

First trip: (When we took the tabs, they had a metallic kinda bitter taste and my friend later told me we had probably taken rc LSD. He didn't tell me that day cause he didn't me to freak out haha)
Little bit of relevant back story - This was back in March/April of 2015 (not sure of the exact date). Anyways, at this point in time, my birthday had just recently passed and my school work was declining progressively as I was attending a community college, going into Accounting and absolutely hating every day of school. It's not that I couldn't do it, I just had no motivation to do so. Had some issues with a girl that I was trying to form a relationship with and after our first kiss, she didn't talk to me for a whole week. So at this point I was very lost in life, I was unsure of continuing in Accounting and I found my notebooks full of sketches and doodles rather than notes like everyone else around me. I found it extremely difficult to essentially care about the topics being discussed. Note that at the time and even looking back on it now, I wasn't really depressed, I was surrounded by really close friends who all care about each other including me, I just felt incredibly lost with my purpose.

About 2 weeks after the above, one Friday afternoon, my best friend calls me up and invites me over to his house to smoke some bud. I agreed as I wasn't doing anything that night. Then he asked me if I wanted to sleep over. I immediately asked why, since he lives right down the street from me and it's about a 10 minute walk from my house. He asked me if I wanted to take acid with him and that if I said yes, he wouldn't let me leave his house after taking it, so I'd have to stay there. I was nervous about it and he told me I shouldn't be and he assured me that I would love it, as he is my closest friend since childhood, I trusted him and said, "Fuck it, alright!".

So I walked over to his house and he takes it out to show me. He had done it about 5 or 6 times at this point and the first time he took it, he took it alone. So he explains the very basics on what would come in the next 12 or so hours. Of course as most of you know, no matter how crystal clear you explain it to someone, which is impossible anyway, they'll be blown away. That was the main reason he didn't want to tell me to much about it because he wanted me to experience it in my own individual way without expecting much. So we each took a tab around 9:00pm and I proceeded to begin rolling 2 blunts. During this time he went over some fun things we were gonna do while tripping, such as listening to music, watching random stuff on youtube and taking a walk. (In later trips we developed way more things to do, we were both noobs still). I finished rolling the first blunt about 35 minutes later because we were talking and I kept getting distracted. So I set it aside and told him I'd roll the second one in a bit as I wanted to take a little break. He immediately told me I should probably just roll it now because as soon as the acid kicked in, I wouldn't be able to finish it and he isn't all that great at rolling.

So I took a 10 minute break anyway and then got back to it. Just as I got halfway done, I started feeling the effects. Everything seemed a little brighter and more vibrant and when I turned to look in the mirror, I noticed my pupils were almost the size of my whole eye. He warned me to be careful with mirrors while tripping cause they tend to tweak people out, but I thought it was cool. So at this point my pre-trip anxiety was kinda high and I noticed I was just holding the half rolled blunt and just staring at it lol. I told him I couldn't finish it. He laughed and said he knew this was gonna happen and pulled out his bong and dumped the weed into the bowl and set it aside. As we were coming up, he told me to feel free and talk about anything that I was experiencing/thinking so that he could help guide me through the trip.

We were sitting on his bed and listening to some of our favorite music on his Xbox's YouTube app. I didn't really know what to do, so I just started kinda looking around the room and noticing that when I stared at certain things, mainly with textures, that they would "breathe" and warp, flowing within themselves. He noticed that I was tripping, so he called me over to his desk where the contents of the swishers were emptied and he told me to look at them. So I was staring at them and they looked like they were little bugs just crawling over one another. I looked at him with a surprised face apparently and said, "What the fuck?". And he just smiled saying, "I know right?"

Now after the cool little blunt gut bugs, we chilled for a bit longer and then he said we were gonna smoke his bong near the window of his 1st floor room that overlooks his backyard. I walked over to him and he handed it to me for the first hit. We had talked about not really being able to feel smoke in your lungs on acid, and I was thinking about that as I pulled out my lighter. (Btw, I think/overthink things a LOT, which might be why this trip was quite the interesting one). I sparked up the lighter and was mesmerized for a second by the flame and how cool it looked, shortly followed up by the classic, "Hurry up and hit it already!". So I put the flame right on the top of the fully packed bowl....torching most of the top and taking what I thought was a normal sized rip. I held it and noticed he was right about not feeling the smoke in my lungs, and as I exhaled and continued to exhale as my eyes widened, I realized how big of a hit I had really taken. The biggest cloud of smoke came out of my mouth and polluted the night sky and I set the bong on the windowsill. He was standing next to me and picked up the bong looking at the bowl. "Dude...you almost killed a 1 gram bowl pack in one hit...". I turned to look and to my shock there was only one hit left of the bowl. I turned to look back out the window and the grass in his backyard began to shimmer and warp. The grass then became not only green, but it was almost as if I could see red and blue tiny little streams of light/color radiating off of it.

I had never experienced anything like that before and I told him I had to sit down. At this point we were a little over 1 hour into the trip and I felt that I was tripping hard. I started thinking, "Oh man, what the fuck have I done to myself...I want it to stop". My friend was awesome and told me to shut the fuck up and to not fight it and then quickly threw us into a game of Forza to distract me. Worked perfectly and I stopped having bad thoughts almost instantly. We tried playing Forza, but I was tripping so hard that I kept zoning out into my thoughts or looking at the scenery in the game rather than watching where my car was going. I felt my mind keep fading in and out of the game and every time I came back in, my car was hugging a wall and progressively more damaged. I thought this was hilarious and so did my friend so we laughed about it for a while. I sat up on his bed and put the controller down asking to do something else because I just could not play the game. So he said okay, just talk to me.

This was when shit got really weird. I was starting to have really strong thoughts about life and right before I completely became lost in them, I had an incredibly overwhelming sense of Deja Vu. So I asked him how much of a trip he usually remembered, and he said he remembered most of his trips except for really intense peaks and just lapses of deep thoughts here and there. Then I had a tweak moment and had this conversation:

Me: Dude, I feel like we've done this before.
Him: No dude, you've never taken acid before.
Me: Are you sure? I swear we've done this. Do you think I forgot?
Him: Relax man, this is your first time, I would remember tripping with my best friend.

That reassured me enough to drop the topic, but at that point I was still having some suspicions. He put on something to watch for us. I don't remember it because as I was leaning against his headboard chillin on a pillow, I literally saw my vision get broken apart in sections by random lines, into large sections. Picture a simple tangram on black and white. Lines similar to those were drawn in my vision in big sections. Then all the pieces around the outer edges of my vision started breaking off like in the style of shattered ceramic like in Tom and Jerry when they broke each others teeth and they would fall out one by one. Well the pieces broke off one by one on the outside and dropped off from my vision completely and just a black void replaced them. This part of the trip was hard to recall, but I remember bits of it. I felt as if what I perceived as reality was moving away from me and I was left with a faint tunnel vision of a zoomed out reality. My friend seemed all too conveniently not paying attention to me and I couldn't talk to tell him what was happening.

Then my vision was replaced with incredibly vivid memories from my past 18 years of life. All sorts of random stuff. Our first family car when we moved to America, a few memories from every grade of school, family vacations, even little stuff like eating my favorite snacks and washing my hands Then it started becoming centered around my parents, and because I was essentially an observer, I realized a lot of the things they were trying to teach me, morals, being polite and respectful to people and also I saw how they truly moved mountains to give me the best possible life I could have. As I saw all of these memories in reverse, being broken down one by one at a very quick speed, I realized I should be only grateful for absolutely everything in life, not just them and all they did for me. Then even more quickly than the first time, all the pieces came back together but I felt that they were rearrange and that some were missing. (Later I realized the missing pieces that were essentially thrown out, were a huge amount of my judgments, so I was unsure if this is the ego death everyone always mentions). After that I kinda dropped off of what I later learned was a peak I guess?? My friend said he looked back at me and I had my eyes closed for about 10 minutes and I seemed very calm so he had let me be. As I came out of that experience, my vision came back even though I didn't feel like my eyes had reopened. I immediately had the most pure happiness and bliss wash over with such a powerful force that I just burst into tears and started crying. As the tears welled up in my eyes and poured out, I felt how truly releasing it was to cry, especially tears of pure bliss. Of course, my friend freaked out when he saw me crying and was asking me if I was okay. I started laughing and still crying at the same time and it took me a couple of minutes before I could make out the words to tell him that I was crying out of happiness and that I was fine. I told him I had never been happier in my entire life and asked if I could hug him. He stood up and said of course, so we hugged tight for a solid minute with me still crying a like a newborn baby. We both started laughing and he asked me one last time if I was good and I said yes.

Then shit got EVEN weirder if you could even believe it lol. So at this point I asked my friend how much time had passed since we started tripping, and he told me it had been about 2 hours. I was like, "What. The. Fuck. No way!". Sure enough I looked at my watch and he was right. Then we started talking about time and stuff, and I would be asking him questions and he would answer them. But the strange thins was, now when I looked at him, he had this beanie on, and I didn't remember him putting it on. Soon after that I started seeing him as a kind of god almost. The weird thing about this that continued to be confirmed on more than just a FEW occasions (more like 50+), I knew I was tripping, but I still firmly believed he was god, especially because if I asked very specific questions about something deep he would turn my attention to something else, dodge the question all together or tell me something completely unrelated. And this happened every time I asked him something important. Now here's the crazy part. We're sitting on his bed. Watching movies. I'm smoking out of a hookah with god and asking him questions he's not allowed to answer. (Which was what I thought at the time lmfao). Usually when he redirected my attention, it would be at the TV. He kept telling me to pay attention cause it was important. I felt offended that he kept ignoring me and after a few more pestering questions, I listened to him and watched the TV. At first I was still in my thoughts trying to figure out why god was such an asshole and hiding things from me, and then there was a boom and an explosion in the movie we were watching that caught my attention. I started paying attention to the words the people were saying and I felt like every single character was talking specifically to me. Then slowly a few of my previous questions were answered through the dialect in the various movies we watched. It was such a surreal experience. The questions weren't answered DIRECTLY but I was given enough information to draw my own revelation and after I formulated that answer as a thought, it was quickly confirmed with explosions, fireworks, clapping or generally anything in movies that was different from talking, but stood out, like cinematics essentially. These revelations were all life lessons, just random little things, big things, the bigger picture of life, just random moments of learning and growing. From all my trips I only recall a couple of the bigger ones but from the ones I don't remember, I still have the feeling inside me that I retained that knowledge, I just can't access it. It was like Terence Mckenna and lots of others have described their trips as learning the secret of life, but not being allowed to bring it into our world, while at the same time retaining the memory of learning this super important thing that they can't explain.

This occurred for about 2 hours and I was absolutely floored by the beauty of the whole experience thus far. That night I truly experienced what it was like to have your mind blown, and not only once. At this point we had spent the whole trip in his room to avoid his grandparents who are at home all the time. I was feeling kinda antsy and he picked up on that and asked me if I wanted to go outside and possibly smoke the blunt I rolled earlier. I happily agreed excited to get some refreshing air. *For the rest of the trip and into the next day, I was still associating him with a god figure. So he told me to be really quiet cause it was late and we went outside to the garage. He opened the garage and we stepped outside. The first thing I noticed was that my vision felt really sharp and I could see the outline of tree lines better and more distinctions in shades of color. I looked up and the sky looked a bluish/purple and I could see more stars than I ever saw in my life. I later realized most of the stars were probably hallucinated because I live in a heavily populated suburban are and there are never quite that many stars visible at night. So I stood there in his driveway just staring for a good 10 minutes in complete awe. I just couldn't believe how beautiful all the trees, all the bushes, the grass, and the sky looked. So naturally in this blissful state, I started crying again, not anywhere near as hard as the first time, but I just teared up. It was perfect.

Then he shut the garage and we went on a walk around the block to smoke the blunt. I remember him lighting it, hitting it and passing it. And all I could think was, "I'm the luckiest fucker ever to be smoking a blunt with god!" and I just started laughing. I remember hitting it twice and then the world started rotating in some crazy visual spinning way that I honestly don't even know how to explain. That completely eliminated any memory of the walk around the block and the next thing I know, we're on his driveway again with an almost finished blunt and it was my turn to hit it. I was like, "What the fuck!?" He had told me I didn't talk at all the whole walk, so we walked back inside the garage and I was just confused and totally tripping balls. We got back to his room and put Forza back on because I wanted to try playing again. The menu interface looked so foreign even though I had seen it a million times. I told him to slow down so I could analyze it better as he was flying through the menus at super speed. He said that it took him a while to get that used to it (again I saw him as god remember?). So of course I was over analyzing everything and took that to mean that these were the controls to life. The longer you live, the easier the handling is. Well at that point, we got to car selections. He said we had to use slower cars, and I asked why? He said because I wasn't ready for the faster ones, (Because I was trippin and we saw how I drove last time we played hours earlier lol) but I took this as god telling me that things don't happen overnight, they don't come quickly and you have to work your way up (to the faster cars in this case). I continued to be fascinated with all these revelations and this sense of enlightenment and then he got to the track selection. I asked what all the different tracks were, and he simply said every track is different. It varies by number of turns (sharp and gradual), by height and hills, and in general by difficulty. For some reason this blew my mind and I dropped the controller and began thinking real hard. My thoughts were: Wait a second...if this is god....that means I'm dead. Then I refocused quickly on the track selection and re-ran the past 10 minutes in my head of him explaining the game. So that means we never really "die"...we just go somewhere to prepare for our next life? And at that moment "god" goes, "Bingo." and picks a track. And then it kinda clicked for me that we're all on one energy level and we live eternally through a series of reincarnations, to use the term lightly. Again, this was just how I was interpreting everything in the moment, but a lot of those things I still believe in just from my firsthand experiences. I then thought back to the track and how life is essentially a trip, a really long roadtrip, which I simplified into the Forza tracks being all different difficulties. I saw the basic 4 turn oval tracks as easier lives, I thought about people who had it very easy, who were born into wealth and were very lucky in life. Then I thought about the really hard tracks. Twists and sharp turns, up hills and down hills. And I thought about people that had rougher lives, lower income families, homeless people etc etc. And I didn't think it was fair, and so I told that to " god", and he replied, "Don't worry, we get to play on all of them." And then I thought, "OHHHHH, we, as souls, experience every style of life, not just one path. I was so mindblown with this revelation, that to this day I still can't get it through my head that I figured this out from Forza. After further thought I concluded that the track thing in relation to life was valid with on addition. We are the drivers, and although the course is predetermined, it is our job to steer ourselves and stay on the track. And if you crash, it's not over till you cross the finish and you just readjust yourself and keep on going. Then we raced for a while and it was fun. Surprisingly, I was only worried about my own death in the sense of worrying about the people I was leaving behind and how devastated they would be. And I brought up my parents and he told me not to worry and that I'll see them tomorrow. I figured he was gonna take me to watch over them or something lol. Again it was a crazy awesome trip

After that he told me I was acting weird and that he had enough of Forza. So we switched to watching Malcolm in the Middle. We watched a bunch of episodes and during this time, we discussed a lot of ideas and various things. I was thrilled that god watched Malcolm in the Middle, but then I remembered that he essentially led to it's creation in the long run by creating us. As we were watching I was exhausted and toying with the thought that I had died and how fairly calm I was with it. I remember thinking, "This isn't so bad, I'm just chillin with god, this is like the intro class before the afterlife." Since then I have been at total peace with death, I think about it a lot and it doesn't just end there, at least that's what I think, I think a lot. Anyway, he told me to try and get some sleep, and I replied with, "Why do we need to sleep if we're dead?" and he just laughed, "You're funny dude!" and then he went to sleep. All my conversations with "god" were super friendly and it was like he was my best friend, which my friend was obviously, but it was just a really strange thing seeing him as god. It's hard to put into words. I tried to sleep but that was impossible and he had work in about 2 hours, so he took a nap an got up for work.

At this point I wasn't tripping hard anymore, just that weird after trip feeling that seems to last till you sleep, at least for me as I am a bit sensitive and have a low tolerance for most drugs. He dropped me off at my house, and instead of going inside I walked around this nice lake that's nearby a few times managing with the afterglow and just engrossed with my million thoughts and what I had learned about myself and life. Went home after about an hour of walking around, thanked my parents for everything they'd done for me and they looked at me a bit weird but I just went upstairs, changed, and then got ready for work. At this point I hadn't slept in about 32 hours lol so I ended up leaving work early and driving around with my thoughts the rest of the day.

So yea, that was my first trip with acid. Looking back on it, there were a few tweaky moments here and there, but ya can't have the good without the bad. I still learned a lot from both sides of it. For the whole week after, I had decided I didn't wanna do it again, at least not for a while. It was just so intense, but then a couple weeks passed and I had time to process everything and decided I would do it again. Since then it found me again and I have done it twice more and a low dose shroom trip. I plan on exploring much more in the future. I figure I'll wait for it to find me since that was how every trip happened for me. During the whole trip, and actually ALL of my trips so far, I just felt like they were MEANT to happen. Almost like it was already planned out for me to try it. My friend happened to ask me to trip at the most perfect time, if he had asked sooner, I would have said no, if after, I might have figured it out on my own. I also ended up changing to an art major because of this trip and I finished my first semester in December. Easily the best decision I ever made in my life, and somehow it was all thanks to acid.

So there ya go guys! I know this was incredibly long, but I felt the need to explain everything in as much detail as possible. I can also write up my other 3 trips if anyone is interested. If you have questions or comments I'd love to hear about it. This was one hell of a first post for me, but I feel like it belongs here with all the good vibes of Shroomery.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed the read and got a kick out of my conversations with my best friend aka "god" :laugh2:

Anyway...

Just read your report Likuidize! It was really good!! Smoking with god while you're waiting for the next life! :tripping:  Your friend should have been worried about your acting so strange. I'd like to read your other reports too. But, I think the tabs were not LSD, since they were bitter/metallic.

A thumbprint is a serious thing that has the potential to alter your brain permanently in certain ways that I'm not completely sure of. Chinacat72 talks about this a little bit.

thumbprint is total overkill. i have a friend that i gave this paper coated with pure LSD crystal on it, i was guessing at least 2mg, but maybe more. there was originally substantially more contained in the wrapped piece of paper.?

he fucking rolled that thing up and ate it all at once. i was astonished. kids fucking crazy.....

2 mgs if a fucking WILD dose.  The highest equivalent dose I ever took was just shy of 3 mgs and I can't see ever needing to go that far out again.  I mean it amazes me that some people would eat that much and more on any consistent basis.

I've taken roughly 5 mg before.  It isn't much different than 1 mg.

A thumb print is more like 100 mg.  I can imagine it's a little different.
