Yeah I haven't met most of that criteria yet, but I do have Grateful dead scrawled across my rib cage, some beautiful ink. Spend most of my weekends enjoying the release of the deadpod. Been stuck on paper and am young so I haven't gotten my chance to tour with a dead spinoff yet, but the days approaching. Heard phil is looking to pick one venue and do a bunch of shows there all throughout the year, rather than touring city to city. If that goes down I'm going to move as close to the venue as I can and get on the scene

I just read the first five pages of this thread so far, and my heart is pounding. I love the stories. Thank you all for attempting to share your experiences through words. I can't imagine the depths of imagery you can't really reach with our language barrier between your perspectives, the thumbprints perspective, and the English language. Thank you all again.

I'm a longtime lurker that has gained a good amount of insight from the forums.  That which didn't serve as insight was well-placed entertainment to say the least.  This thread has done quite a job in making me ask questions about the psychedelic experience and life in general.  There seems to be a reasonable amount of suspicion surrounding some of the stories here and at times I find myself not sure of what to believe.  But in the grand scheme of things, if there does happen to be fabrication in certain stories, I see nothing wrong with someone pushing my imagination in a new direction.  The experience has always contained an element of interpretation and when someone supposedly does the quantity of a thumbprint, I would imagine it might be difficult to recount the events completely accurately.

My first experience with LSD was at a music festival and for the most part I feel fortunate to have been in that environment.  A trustworthy friend that was far more experienced than myself at the time did a great job of explaining what he knew and walking me through what might take place.  I didn't know much about dosages at the time so when he told me to take 1/2 of the white tab I assumed it wouldn't be much of a trip.  I had done shrooms and molly multiple times and so I figured it wouldn't be that much different.  Throughout the day we smoked and walked around the festival grounds and basically I attempted to prepare my mind for the trip.  As the sunset, I went ahead and dosed... about half an hour into it I began to notice this feeling in my limbs like tiny hairs were being magnetized.  Compared to shrooms there was much less anxiety going through my mind and it felt like everything would be manageable.  For a few hours, nothing out of the ordinary took place.  I definitely felt like the band's music was enhanced and I felt strong connections with the people around me.  The visuals weren't overwhelming but they were very enjoyable.  At this point in time we went to a tent nearby and someone offered us bong rips of kief.  Looking back, I probably should have passed, just to keep my mind on one thing at a time.  But I obliged and within minutes my mind was propelled into a new perspective.  I felt like I was watching myself from a Grand Theft Auto type of view, and the events of my life were cycling around infront of me.  Memories from years ago would manifest before me and slowly churn into the present moment.  These perspectives enhanced my insight, but the thought that kept plaguing my mind was "What have I gotten myself into".  By this point, although the festival scene was very positive I just needed to be by myself for awhile.  After returning to my camping spot and sitting down in a more quiet atmosphere, the world around me and my memories perpetually spiraled round and round until normalcy returned.  As I sat there, I could vividly remember the details, but all of this information was overshadowed with this pestering reminder that I truly didn't know what actually took place.  I felt as though I was a key witness to a magnificent event, but that past a certain level I wasn't allowed to understand what made it take place and why it all happened.

Since that time, I've had many more experiences with higher doses but one thing that sticks in my mind is that it's not always about quantity.  After reading through some posts here there seems to be an agreement that higher doses can lead to less bad trips since the ego is overpowered.  My experience agrees with this... with few exceptions.  Anytime I've been unfortunate enough to experience a bad trip, it seems to possess a common theme.  My soul will be observing my mind and how it's functioning with the trip.  My soul will then judge my mind and literally watch my mind try to reason it's way out of the bad trip.  The more I try, the more despair sinks in as I discover that I must let go of this sense of control.  Typically walking around into a new setting and allowing time to pass provides me with positivity.

I wanted to thank the people that contribute stories here on a regular basis.  Although some are more believable than others, it all comes down to what it meant to you in the first place.

That's one of the better descriptions of that feeling that I've heard.

I hope I see more of this around this place.
I also have to completely agree with you about that state of mind not necessarily indicative of a higher dose.  Since I'd had that mind blowing experience from a relatively low dose (for me), I've started to consider my mind to be the biggest part of set and setting.  The more interesting philosophic diatribes really start to influence you the deeper you get into the ether.

Summers coming. Purely for the law of attraction's sake

I know already that something is coming. I think I know exactly when they're coming back to play with me. Should be during a certain bluegrass set Memorial Day weekend. I dont know just what it is that will be happening, but I'm throwing this out there, I'm ready for whatever dose they throw at me. I want a crystal print, whether it be some extraordinary dose like a thumprint, or something more modest like a quarter vile's worth, it's going to be my birthday and I've been a good boy this year :bigyesnod:

and I trust them to take care of me.
