When you hear someone is a full-time Uber driver...

Do you automatically assume that they're bums?

When I hear about a full time taxi driver, I think "that guys got a job. That guy busts his ass"

When someone tells me they uber and have no other job, I assume they're bums who work 20 hours a week and live in their own filth

this, uber drivers are getting fucked as much as any other working american, work more hours for less pay. dont forget to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. It is a trickle down if you suck hard enough economic system here in america.

Nah, uber drivers are cool in my book. My neighbor is one and he works 40+ hour weeks and makes a shit load of money. Way more than I ever made at a "real" job. I'm probably gonna start driving for them in the near future

You got a real economical hybrid kinda car? Not sure if there's any better tool for the job than a prius...

You have to work a alot of hours and nights to make ok money at uber not to mention wearing your car down. If you work 50 60 hours a week and work nights you might clear 70k it also varies city to city.

I'm not looking for 70k :lol: I don't need a third of that to survive comfortably where I'm at. I hear that about wearing down my car though. My car is in no where near as good of shape as it was about a year ago before I started my delivery driving job.

@jokeshopbeard, I don't have a Prius, but my '07 Saturn ion is more than decent, 30+ mpg for sure. With a Prius it'd be damn near pure profit though, barring any damage done while working.

Nah man,it is an opportunity for people to make a nice decent amount of money without having to break their back or work a stupid minimum wage. I know this Columbian in  my class,great guy, hard worker and always work and for him Uber is a life saver. He doesn't always have to do the shit jobs that nobody wants to do and he can catch a break now. And he really does deserve it.

I think the hate express train has a pitstop soon , you should get off.

No they didn't. They've recently increased pay where I'm at. As well as starting a new guaranteed minimum pay for weekends from 5pm-2am. $30-$40 an hour minimum depending on where 60% of your rides are. The city pays more of course.

I was doing uber for two hours a day give or take, and making at least $50 every day. Not bad for cruising around town on my lunch break.

Does it really pay that well?  I've been thinking about buying a car soon.  If I could pay for it by ubering around on the weekends that would be a sweet deal..
