How good of a driver are you?

Just another one of those day when I noticed stupid and horrible drivers. Ie. Guy sitting idle across two active lanes of traffic, trying to merge. Woman on a cellphone zigzagging through traffic without signaling at all. People practically running red lights. People trying to squeeze through an intersection to avoid the redlight, only to end up stuck in the middle thus blocking the other traffic.
Anyways...
Be honest in this poll. How do you rate yourself?

Yeah man I hate that shit.
Panama City Beach is the worst place to live if you hate intersections being blocked by dumbass drunk college people. Then when you think it'll be all over when the season is over, all the Canadians come down here and drive 25mph everywhere with their left blinker on.
Roar.

Ive wrecked once, i was strung out and totaled my car by hitting an embankment @ 70 mph, flipped 4 times before stopping. I ended up in the back seat with a broke arm tangled in one of the seat belts... it was horrible.. cept for the morphine pump in the hospital. it was my only friend for awhile.. I learned alot from that particular incedent.
Other than that, and one noise ordinance ticket, i have no other strikes on my driving record. I dont tend to run redlights or block intersections, so ill vote for decent.

Most everyone thinks that they are a decent driver, regardless of wether they really are or not.

yup. it's an ego thing.
i voted "i'm okay" even though it'd probably be safe to bet that i'm a better driver than some of the people who voted "i'm pretty damn good!"
every now and then i misjudge and accidentally run a red light and sometimes i talk on my cell phone, though not in heavy rush hour type traffic. And sometimes i make a stupid mistake here and there, but when it's all said and done, almost all my friends compliment me on my driving. even some people who are scared to ride with other people (you know the type, they usually always have to drive) tell me i'm a good driver and that they don't feel afraid to ride with me. So i guess i'm ok.

You should try and drive I-5 in Southern California...or just Cali for that matter...that is where the world's best drivers are at! lol

I was actually on I-5 two years ago, in a new mustang that wasn't even mine. Had picked it up from a relative and was driving it cross country for them to their other house or whatever. The scenery was very nice from what i can remember. Anyways, it was cool.. I believe we first got on 5 in oregon and followed it all the way through cali.. eventually we took some other road. Went from oregon to D.C. and took the long was through cali, the desert, then texas, and from that point north.

It was the longest I've been on a car trip. We stopped a bunch of times at various hotels to rest. The driving was shared between two of us though. It was cool, I loved to be able to visit the PNW, drive through the whole state of cali, then the desert - all within a few days.

i consider my self a pretty good driver though i don't really feel abliged (SP?) to obay the rules i usualy drive over the speed limit since most of the time it just makes not sense to me... i usualy disregard signs if i need to (but i do it with extream caution understanding WHY a sign is there and taking that into consideration)
i don't take stupid risks and i do my best not to annoy and risk other drivers but sometimes i allow my self to be a little too crazy on the wheel and that only happens where i know i can't hurt anyone but my self if anything does go wrong... i've had a little expiriance with skidding or wet surfaces when i "lost" control but i'm always contiuse when driving risky so all of these end up with me handeling the car like it should be and staying calm gaining controll back...
i have my licence for 6 years now and i never got a ticket or crashed into anything (or had anything crash into me) actualy i just remembered that once i was driving at 7 AM and stopped at a light (i was extremly tired and distracted by the events of the night) and i didn't notice i was rolling becouse my foot lost its waight on the brake so i bumped into the car infront of me... nothing happend of course so i just apologized and that was it...
hopfully nothing bad will ever happen!

So what exactly determines the difference between being a good driver and an extremely good driver? Im curious.
oh btw, you forgot the option, "I am the best driver." Cause thats where I fit in!

I think I'm pretty good, though I attribute most of that to my occupation as a pizza driver. Driving all day and night, speeding constantly, running lights, all part of the job. However I also think part of what makes a good driver is knowing when you can and can't get away with stuff like that.

zippoz called me an agressive driver.
I call myself a passive/defensive driver with a couple of triggers (people cutting me off to the point I have to take action to correct their mistake) and deliberate slowness in the left lane...
When people cut me off to go slow, I'd say that's pretty infuriating.
as for control of the car, I am *the* wheelman
