Hey everyone! Excited to finally be apart of Shroomery, decided I would share some pics of my first Monotub. Used cakes before, very happy with the mono route. Used 15 BRF cakes as spawn to coco coir. First flush coming in great. Any thing look off please let me know! :smile:

Thanks! So I used what I had until my mini GH comes in about a week so I used a container I already had and it's only about 6 inches tall so I spawned and fruited to it with the lid on until they were getting to the point where they were about to pop thru, then replaced the lid with a slight shorter tub (because it was all I had) and filled the inch gap on the end with a trash bag that I would mist down. I know it's not to standard but if I got multiple fruits weighing over 80g each, must be doing something right! Here is how I have it at the moment. Like I said I have a 4 tier coming soon, just got a hygrotherm and if it comes earlier I'll do my second flush in that because it's very hard to keep full humidity like that. I have had to keep an eye on em constantly but all the care is definitely showing results. Uneven pin set too so I have been up til 6 in the morning the past 2 days picking the ones that the veils break on. Here is a pic so you can see what I mean.


3:30 in the morn where I am and if I go to sleep now I'll wake up to a spore covered substrate but it is well worth it :smile:

So cool. I like the two tub approach. I'm a noob myself but I'm not sure you really need to be messing with that trash bag around where the tubs meet. Keep up the good work, I love it!

Not update fully with everything, seen but not sure what Iso stands for, but like I said i used 15 BRF/Verm of B+ Spawned to a tub with coco coir/verm/H20, put a thin layer of the coco/Verm to cover any exposed substrate. This is my first flush, about 400 fresh I'm saving for tomorrow and about 37g drying here.

Also got this cool little usb  fan as a stocking stuffer I am using to dry while also allowing more fae around my mono tub. Yet another reason I'm excited to build my GH :smile:

This is from shredded PF cakes, too?  Gee wiz.. But you don't know what an iso is?  (Iso= strain isolation.  It's a single sub-strain separated from the hundreds of sub-strains present in spores to provide predicable, uniform growth)
Man, if you can do that with seemingly limited knowledge of growing mushrooms.. and less than ideal bulk spawn.. I'd imagine you could grow like gangbusters if everything was tip top.

No shit rite. Those guys are huge ,and not even plained out yet still bulbous. Ya my question about whether or not u worked with agar and got urself a nice strain going or a liquid culture or did u just noc up ur jars with spore syringe. Becuz IMO those specimans look 2 big and uniform 2 be MS. So u lucked out if they are
