Small prints lead to small babies?!

So, if you make a syringe out of a tiny spore print (less than a penny) and try to grow, will you most likely have babies that are smaller than the average?

I doubt it works like that but i'm confused about some recent results. Have a look. These are mature and smaller than my smallest finger :



First time ever I get tiny fruits like that. These were pink buffalos sitting in a decent automated terrarium with all the perfect variables. That's a simple WBS casing with coir. I was expecting at least 20 grams dry, like most of the times but surprise : only a bunch of tiny tiny babies. I just don't understand what happened.

Thai strains are known to be a little bit smaller than the average cube but not that much.

Another project was made with the same batch of mycellium (grains inoculated with the same syringe) and this time was spawned to straw and babies were only a little bit taller.

Now i'm pretty sure that a multispore inoculation from this syringe will always give small babies.

Anyone knows what could cause that?!

This is some geolite with water and a powerful airpump hooked with two hoses and two bubbling sticks. Works pretty fine for a big 18 gallons terrarium.

a small print won't do that, i got a real small OI print and it put out a few 80g monsters :smile: then the prints from the monsters put out small fruits :frown: how deep was the substrate? thai are sometimes small and stubby ime then in later flushes they look more normal.

Substrate was no more than 2 inches.  I did mix with some wet verm for some kind of rez-effect. Not much success. 

Yeah, I was pretty sure that the size of the print has nothing to do.  I'll keep in my mind what you told me about future flushes and see what happens.

Yeah, some were cracked and some just had some weird shapes. I could put the hygrometer back up and check if everything's fine. I'm pretty sure I get a nice 95% RH since I always get this with this pod.
