Age is the greatest risk factor. The older you get, the higher your risk of many cancers. Of course there are alot of other risk factors, like tobacco use, family history, and the things you've pointed out.

But the literature is clear. Incidence of cancers with age has the greatest correlation. Straight from the most respected cancer text book, Devita's.

Yes greatest correlation in a metabolically diseased society that is primed for cancer in the first place... there is never any adequate control for pre existing metabolic health in those studies.... I don't know how else to say it... Age mainly accounts for accumulation of genetic damage which we have known is insufficient for cancer to grow. Cancer also requires alterations in the micro environment which are largely conferred by inflammatory cells. Anyways this is getting circular.

I know that. But with proper immune function your cancer won't grow. Period. It would be wiped out by the immune system before you knew you had it and be completely deprived of the appropriate growth and migration cues. And many of those genetic mutations are cause by the secretition of peroxisases.

Not malignancies which originate FROM the immune system ITSELF. Ever heard of leukemia? Lymphoma?

FLT3? CEBPA? MPN-1?

Yes my dad has lymphoma. This would be cell type dependent though. Just because you have cancer in the immune system doesn't necessarily mean the immune system isn't functioning. Ie my dads is a b-cell lymphoma. That in and of itself does not stop the normal functioning of regulatory t-cells, cytotoxic T cells, and the grander orchestration of signals which can fuel or halt progression. In fact I'd wager that those inflammatory signals are instructing his malignancy to proliferate as if they were functional b-cells. My dads life previous to his diagnosis was characterized by all sorts of strange inflammatory diseases including prostate cancer. Coincidence and old age my ass. I bet if you measured the amount of circulating endotoxins in his system it would be off the charts. Now I'm not denying that some sorts of immune cancers may directly interfere with proper functioning in a way that's unresolvable, but they still start with immune dysregulatioN in the failure of tumor surveillance mechanisms. You can keep referring to genetic markers but the relevancy is minimal. They are of course a necessary part of the equation, but as I've pointed out before many of the critical behaviors of cancer cells are instructed by immune cells. Hence why H. Pylori is known to cause gastric cancer and athletes develop sarcomas from sports injuries. These aren't just rare instances but indicative of a broader movement to characterize the human microbiome and understand their connection to disease. The gene-approach to cancer is old school. It is a comparatively small part of the underlying disease, bring chronic systemic inflammation which lies at the heart of all metabolic and tissue homeostasis disorders

I think this pretty fairly demonstrates your lack of knowledge about these malignancies. Or your knowledge of immunology itself.

Please read some more about how lymphomas and leukemias effect the bone marrow, then maybe you wouldn't say such things as how b cell lymphoma "doesn't stop normal functioning t cells"
