Real in which way?

The Hindu perception of Karma is that the actions in this life dictate the life an individual gets in their next reincarnation.
Bad Karma means you get a shitty rebirth, good karma can mean you get reborn as a god.

The Buddhist view is similar, but more like a sense that actions leave lingering influences or value systems that may later be picked up and continued by other people.

In such views, all karma is technically bad karma.
"Good" karma implies receiving a better reincarnation; however, being that all karma ties individuals to the cycle of Samsara, that is still a negative thing.
Buddhism actually has another concept known as Merit, which is the idea that adhering to the Right Views and performing the Right Actions actually systematically deletes karma, until one is free of the cycle of rebirth.

The new-age view is that if I slap you in the face and you dislike it, something bad will eventually happen to me that you can celebrate as being a response to my mistreatment of you.  Likewise, if I treat people awesomely, random awesome unrelated things will happen to me, even though there is no such indication aside from the ego's interpretation of the events.
This actually kind of runs contrary to the ideas of Karma as they were established prior to the modern era.

Every moment is reincarnation. Reincarnation is simply another word for change. Life changes every moment. Even going from one emotion (say sad) to happy is reincarnation to me.
