What about Hydrogen Peroxide? I thought that would kill the mushrooms or mycelium. Does it?

If your terrarium used to be (or should have been) an aquarium, Fill it full of water and couple capefulls of bleach. Allow to stir, soak overnight, drain, then rinse. This way your sure to get all the nasties out.

Also I recomend sterilizing perlight by pressure cooking, if your using perlight. I've found that contams are significantly reduced. In past attempts, contams showed up in midst of second flush. Sterilizing perlight seems to have really helped!

Just wash the terrium down with hot water and soap and ur set!

Gadget - How would you go about pressure cooking perlite? Wouldn't it work the same by nuking it in the microwave or baking it in the oven? I thought cakes were pretty strong about fighting off contams at that stage?

To sterilze perlight, I fill collander with perlight and stick it in the pressure cooker.

Nuken it should work as well I guess ...
