Got my first DUI about 2 years ago.

Fines...fines up the ass. 1.8k court fines, 1.2k probation fees, 1k alcohol treatment course fees, like 1k other random fees.

My case is set to be terminated in january. I had 100 hrs of community service on top of that, minimum 8 hrs a week

Lucky for me my lawyer was able to have me keep my license so that worked.

scored one back in '13

payed a LOT of money... it pretty much ruined my life and i'm still paying for it (payed off all my fines and shit though). cool thing is my insurance didn't go up...

i could have fought it and not gotten any charges in the first place, i was pulled over on an illegal stop as the cop said he thought i was having a medical emergency cause he heard my engine rev or some shit... i was gong to turn left and signaled and signaled back into my lane and carried on...

anyway... i try to look at it in a positive light, but it's really taken a toll on me.

My dad got one a few years ago

It really fucked things up for him but that DUI was just the tip of the iceberg

He's doing better now, lost his job and car though so he doesn't really do anything

I just got one last august. It all depends on your choices here. I didn't want to go through probation for it so instead of that I got jail time. Luckily since it was my first offence I only got the minimum 10 days. 1.3 thousand in fines, and now when I do drive again insurance will be probably 300 a month.

8 years ago, a week before my 21st. Sucked. Crashed into a barn. I deserved it though. I was dumb.

Narrowly avoided one long time ago. Don't really know how. Got in a wreck and I was kinda fucked up (not trashed, but not really at my best either). I have a tendency to hit the gas rather than brake when I see yellow, the day of the wreck really was no different. I ended up t-boning some woman. I will always maintain I still had the right of way. Of 5 lanes, she was the only one in the intersection. Every other person was stopped behind the line as they would be while at a red light. Wasn't going ridiculously fast (about 30) but by the time I saw her in my way, it was already too late. I hit the brakes feet from her car and no car going 30 is going to stop in feet and inches.

Cops show up, don't even give me a field sobriety test, I get a ticket for driving without a license and driving with no insurance and send me on my merry way. Got lucky. Nothing more nothing less. If they'd decided to test me they would've probably found me over the legal limit for alcohol and if they dug further might even find other drugs. At the time all I cared about was the people in the car I hit, but the bitch driving soon made me lose any sympathy. She was one of those loud mouthed ghetto fuckers (not talking race, she was white) who just wanted to yell and scream and "you're going to jail mother fucker!" and all kinds of shit. Like the day after she started blowing up my wife's phone (insurance was in her name) and harassing us multiple times a day. IIRC the bitch didn't even show up to court for the shit. Probably because she was afraid that it'd be exposed that as far as traffic laws go she was actually the one in the wrong.

In Australia our legal blood alcohol limit is 0.05.
2 years ago I was driving 2 of my mates around who were drinking from 11am. At around 4pm we decided to go to a local pub, however one of my mates wanted to get his car so I dropped him home and continued to the pub. He got pulled over and blew 0.09. Lost his licence, went to the police station then got a taxi to the pub where we were waiting for him. At around 9pm we decide to leave the pub, i had had 4 beers and guess what!? Pulled over by cops and blew 0.067. I had to get in the police car and go to the station but didn't want to leave my car on the side of the road so my friend who didnt lose his licence asked the officers if he could drive my car home. He blew 0.03 (under the legal limit) even though he had been drinking for ~10 hours.
Anyway my boss wrote a letter saying i need my licence for my job and i was granted a 'work licence' for 6 months (can only drive to and from work between 6am and 6pm). The fine was around $500.

That blows. I got pulled over with a beer in my center console before. Grabbed it hella quick and put it by my feet, dude never even saw it :awedance:

I got a DUI a few years back but I wasn't even drunk! I did a flawless sobriety test and he had me blow and I blew a .084 and the douche cop still arrested me  :mad2:

My union lawyer worked his magic and got it dropped to careless driving so I only had to pay a $120 ticket. I suppose I got lucky, but at the same time that cop was a fuck!

I tried to drive it back to my school because I ditched class when it happened and then I was fucking stupid and tried to say someone hit me in the parking lot :facepalm: now that I look back on my life I've been a really horrible son :sad:

I know that feel. It gets exponentially worse when you have a kid of your own and he starts telling the same level of bullshit you once did and you see how retarded you actually sounded trying to get away with that shit :lol:

My son over the last couple of years has made me want to get a lobotomy so I can forget all the ridiculous shit I said once to avoid trouble.

Yea it's fucked up. My parents have been the kindest most caring people to me and during my teenage years I was just a straight horrible person

Never a DUI or anything like that.

1 speeding ticket but literally 10-15 JOL violations(driving with kids in the car when I was under 18)
