well, since the admins seem to be absent, I will inform you guys that all you have to do is click on the "Quick Reply" tab which is located at the top right corner of the individual post you are responding to.
This will bring you to the little box at the bottom of the page. You might think "Gee, why have a button on every post that does that, when I can use the scroll bar to go down there?"
This is wrong. The purpose of the quick reply tab is to link your quick reply to a specific post. That way it will say "re: (whoever your responding to)" instead of "re: (the last guy that posted in the thread)"
In the past, people have been able to abuse the quick reply by not linking it to a specific post, in which case it defaults to the last person that posted. Some people find this confusing. I think they are idiots, but the admins have decided to accomodate them at the expense of people who can read context.
So now, they make it to where you have to click the "quick reply" tab of whichever specific post you are responding to if you are going to use quick reply. Luckily, if you use quick reply and forget to click the tab, you can do it after the fact, and it wont erase what you wrote or anything.
so anyway, its a pain in the ass and an extra step from what everyone's used to, but I think the idea is that we're all supposed to get used to it, therefore making the threads more organized for people with minds so feeble that they require organization.
so, even though every other BBS uses the old system, and they havent put anything in the faq about it, you're supposed to know all this.
