Just the fact that even average doses increase your heart rate to some extent and that it's only 15 mg based on rat studies, any of the 4 classic psychedelics would kill a person with a high enough dose. People on the internet can chime in and reply to this post and claim to have eaten 20,000+ ug of LSD via eating hundreds of hits but first of all I don't tend to have the personality to believe peoples crazy stories and claims, whereas you guys are more trusting of people, I don't believe shit people say unless they're close and if they're telling me this in person and I know that they personally never lie..wait, everyone lies

People have eaten thousands of doses at once. It's well documented all over the psychedelic community. That's what this whole thread is about. And if you don't believe what people say about their dosages why are you on an Internet drug site in a thread about a massive dose someone did?

Except for the scientific fact that we don't know LSD's LD50 for humans. The same amount of LSD that reportedly killed an elephant has been given to mice and rats successfully. Even the elephant was suspected of dying form the huge amounts of tranquilizers given to it, not the actual LSD. There are plenty of credible documented accounts of people eating massive doses of LSD and not dying.

That doesn't, unfortunately, have anything to do with my main problem with this. That lies more just being intelligently skeptical. That means not believing extremely insane stories when a very simple explanation exists (that they trolled yo azz)

Didn't one of the children of the grateful dead get ahold of some gal he though was cocaine and snoot a line of it?  I'm fairly sure that's a well known instance of somebody taking EXTREMELY ridiculous amounts and still being alive.

Fact is there are medical records of people taking these high doses and still being okay after.  While uncommon some lucky people in this world have access to huge quantities of LSD; and the road to wisdom is paved with excess.

Your point was that you don't know if you can believe these stories. You then cited medical/health reasons as to why it could be unlikely that these stories are true. So given the fact some people could be trolling and lying out their ass, that leaves the inevitable that some people are also telling the truth. Then a few people chime up to ask where you are getting your information regarding the pharmacology of LSD, you say that we missed your point. So what was your point again exactly? :ooo: :smile:

Ok, that's exactly how I've always tried to look at this topic. But I'd need more solid proof that ANY human has ever legitimately been recorded eating several milligrams of LSD, than some copy and paste from a website claiming that it happened. Even if that website were reliable, everyone occasionally spouts bullshit

You ever read the Electic Kool Aid Acid Tests? People have been eating milligram doses for decades now. Owsley talks about eating massive doses, as do other icons from the 60's. Not through message boards, but high profile interviews and books written from historical accounts.

On the positive side, the posts by China cat and white rasta indicate that if they were thrilling, then that's the only thing they trolled about because they were legit in general, based on other threads, very competent and knowledgeable, and the way they word their posts on this thread just don't say "troll" or "yanking our chains" to me

That'd defeat the purpose though.  The point of taking that high of a dose is to get really really high.

Well I am certain that if this is real, those people have a significant tolerance to normal doses of LSD and aren't actually taking long breaks for tolerance before dosing that lol. As China cat or white rasta whichever it was, pointed out in one of their posts, it's probably just that some receptors are so insensitive to LSD that it requires milligrams to significantly affect them whereas other receptors are activated at smaller doses, hence why 3,000 ug LSD might be the same as 2,000 to someone, but the other receptors can't turn up the trip by a million miles an hour until eating dozens of milligrams. In that case, yes I can totally understand the feasibility of this whole thing, other than the fact that I am skeptical about being able to actually acquire massive amounts of crystal LSD, people even on these forums claim to be able to get that, which....I doubt. Goddamn liars lol
