One should nurse no illusions about the intentions of the American leadership: they want war. Except most of the things about Russia are true to a large degree and its a rotten regime. Russia's anti-West propaganda is based on hatred against jews, gays and democratic values. As I live next to Russia I'm glad to see CNN and WasPoh finally get some things straight.

Then why don't you check it? If you have critical thinking and the know-how to interpret and differentiate between fact and rumor you can see which side is spewing hate pretty easily. Russia is against liberalism, democracy and the right of self-determination. You might as well believe North Koreas "news".

Take into account the way the Russians racially seeded, ethnically displaced and mass killed Ukrainians when they were part of the USSR and those numbers and the current situation in general makes a lot more sense; in areas where the revolution is most active iirc a good 80% of the population is ethnically Russian due to the soviet repopulation policies... similar to how Tibetans have been/are being replaced en masse by Han Chinese.

All I can say - Russia is awful country. It's returning now to totalism. 80% of population hate USA, democracy, human rights, Europe and everything connected with freedom and rights. They think that AMERICANS fight now in the Eastern Ukraine, and people from the whole Russia go to Ukraine to fight with USA and to kill 'americans'. But they kill Ukrainians. They think that Russia must beat USA. Crazy country, just don't want to live in peace.
P.S. I lived in Crimea.

Russia is very openly censoring its political adversaries now...
One of the websites blocked is ran by Garry Kasparov, probably one of the best chess players in history turned politician trying to save Russia from losing its game :lol:

edit: wow that was last year, still relevant though if people are confused as to how politically this is being played by both sides
