The problem with these is the thermal mass. They take forever to cool down when you flame them.

I got some curved tweezers too! Heres some new ones i just bought. I have 2 other pairs Im using as well. These curved tweezers are great fot making LIs and scrapping/transfering mycelium to petri dishes/agar:

Nice! Yeah they would be ideal for making an LI! Yeah I thought they might be good for transfers. Gunna give them a shot in a few days. I think I remember someone saying they were good for cloning fruits with small stipes like a lot of Pan species. May have been coversall saying he picked it up from JOC.

I use those too for my plastic jar lids. If you’re using the rubber plug style injection ports that you press into a 1/4” hole, just be careful you don’t remove too much material with the countersink because it will open up the hole too much and the plug won’t get a good seal. But otherwise this tool is a must on plastic lids. For metal lids I just use a hole punch - so fast and clean.

One of my favorite and coolest tools I own but don't use much, the Roper Whitney No. 5 Jr punch



They still make them but the newer ones are not nearly as cool or well made. I got mine for like $30 on ebay.
