Burning contents of a folder that exceed the disc capacity
    #2128554 - 11/22/03 01:42 AM (14 years, 6 months ago)

I just installed a burner on my computer, and I am having some problems figuring out all that I can do on it.

Is it possible to burn the entire contents of My Documents, which is 1.5 gigs, onto several cd's in one session?

What I am trying to do, is just drag the entire folder over, and copy all the contents, and have the program tell me when to insert the next disc. Instead of me having to go in, phsyically select files that will fit, then get the remaining files, pick some more, and so on.

I know it won't fit all on one disc, I just don't want to go through the trouble of manually dividing up the folder for several discs.

Oh, and I have Nero. Do I need additional software?

I keep it real because I think it is important that a highly esteemed individual such as myself keep it real lest they experience the dreaded spontaneous non-existance of no longer keeping it real. - Hagbard Celine

I would just rar it into 700meg files and burn em but I think Nero 6 has what you are looking for...

Nero BackItUp: An easy to use wizard interface allows for multiple backup modes, automatically scheduled backups, and backups spanning several CDs or DVDs.

Be all and you'll be to end all
