Burning A DVD

I got a movie from a friend, it was in a zip file. She says she don't know what to do with it and I don't either. Below is a pic of the files I have. I am hoping someone can tell me what I should do with these files. Sorry for being dumb, but this is a new area for me. Any help appreciated.

Save all those files in it's own folder.
Use DVD Shrink to make them into an ISO file
and burn the ISO file with Alcohol 120%

Your movie looks like it's about 20 - 30 min long.

As shdwstr said, your best bet is to get the program "DVD Shrink".


First, extract all the files to a folder named "VIDEO_TS" anywhere on your hard drive.

Then open up DVD Shrink and clikc the "Open Files" button near the top:


Find your VIDEO_TS folder, select it, and press OK. All the settings should be fine as defaults, so you should be able to press the "Backup" button next:


Again, most of the default options should be fine. The ones you want to worry about are the "Select backup target:" and the box just below it (for temporary files). You will need a good 4.6GB of space on whichever drive you chose for the temp files.

As you can see in the pic, I've chosen to burn it straight to a DVD. You can also chose to create an ISO file on your hard drive, which you can burn later...but I think for your purposes you can just go with a straight burn.

Once you click OK, the main window should be replaced with this:


I find it's best to turn-off the video preview option, as it will almost double the time needed to encode if it is turned on.

If all goes well, you should have a working DVD that will play in most standalone players! :smile:
