3. I liked everything they made until "The Greater Wrong of the Right." They can still play their old songs well but their new stuff is not my cup of tea.

I think my forst concert was keith urban and kelly clarkson with my dad at madison square garden. I saw rob zombie twice also saw michael buble', toby kieth, trace adkins, brad paisley, ozzfest 2007, i cant remember the name of the band but i know they play a song called zombie a go go and were featured in rob zombies halloween film. I also saw new kids on the block once and met donnie walberg cause my little couson was friends with him lol. His mom was like a huge fan and went on their cruise, so he chilled with the guys for a while and they became friends he tried to invite us to the poker table but security wouldnt  let us :/ i ended up getting his autograph. Im sure theres a few im missing like jason aldean. Smoked my first blunt with my sister atthat concert good times.

Slayer, Testament, and White Zombie
I'll go back and give em a listen one and a great while, not to fond of the newer materiel.
Heck, looking back Seasons in the Abyss from Slayer released in 1990 was the last album I really paid attention to.
I think death metal took over my interests at that point. South of Heaven is still fucking awesome.
Testament, eh, they where good back in the day, wouldn't really listen to them now.
Old Rob Zombie, always fun on a drunken bender.


Something weird about that concert though. It isn't listen on Slayer website. That tour says it's last show was on March 11th in Fresno, CA. I saw them in Sacramento I believe on March 14th. It was the late Jeff Hanneman's brothers birthday.

I would go see em again, I am sure they put on a decent show and hearing some of their old songs would bring back some memories.

I still remember my friend and I cutting school and walking down to the record store so we could pick up Decade of Aggression in 1991. Double tape live album, ah yeah!
Had to relive that Clash of the Titans show (which was 2 months after my first show). :headbanger:

For some reason it seemed absurd to me that someone posting here could have seen Vampire Weekend at the age of 13, but I guess the firs time I saw them was like 5 years ago.

My first concert was the hottest band in the world-KISS!!I was 12 then.I think it was their 20th anniversary show.I listen to them sometimes on the radio.

My first "real" concert (excluding local shows and stuff) was in 1996, when I was fifteen.  I saw Marilyn Manson.  I listened to an album of his just the other night, and enjoyed it for nostalgic reasons, but that was the first time in years that I listened to them.  Probably will not do so for another few years.

i was 18, i went to roger waters and his crew perform The Wall. it was pretty fucking epic but i had to shit the whole time and couldnt, the lines to the bathroom were huge.

this is actually still the only non-bar concert ive been to so far. they slowly built up a giant Wall of styrofoam bricks and crashed a plane into it like half way through the show, it was really fuckin cool

Tragically hip back around 2007 ish I think? that was was I considered my first concert experience anyway.

We rarely have any musicians worth seeing come through my area.

Vampire Weekend is like my wife's favorite band.
I've had 2 hear more than my share of them & if they ever come near Huntsville she will definitely drag me to see them.
When she plays that stuff, I always feel like Jesus we could be listening to Grant Green, Soullive, funkadelic, anything,
But anyway Vampire Weekend may be snarky as hell, but they do have pretty good lyrics.
Lots of their songs have dark agnostic meanings.
I give them more respect than most pop acts out today.

My first concert was Duran Duran & the Cranberries in 1993 :rolleyes:
I was 14.
I had been to city festivals before that & saw folks like Al Green, Turtles, Willie Nelson, 311, Widespread Panic
