Damn I'm going broke buying up tickets, I hope a couple key bands on my summer agenda announce some plans soon or I'm gonna run out of money goofing off! Heres my plans for the coming months so far I have tickets for all of these.

Will try to catch Widespread in KC as it's only like 20 minutes away

A friend mentioned The Faint is playing here in Omaha soon, I'd like to go to that. Also, RHCP and Pearl Jam will both be in the area this spring/summer. Now if I can just convince my anti-social boyfriend that we need to start leaving the house once in awhile.

because of legal troubles, i wont be able to afford shit for april or may.... but i've already got my bonnaroo ticket. then after that i'll likely just follow phish east of the mississippi this summer (start at alpine). I'd like to catch moe twice or thrice along the way if possible, too.

Have you seen any realistic looking Phish dates? I've seen a couple and they are all looking like real skimp tours but then again I'm not sure how real they are.
I wanna do a week or two with them, probably the gorge and shoreline if they hit those and what ever couple shows bring me back to the midwest. Summer tours should start being announced I'd think.

the ones being reported by phantasy phish (and elsewhere now) are pretty legit from everything i can gather. i emailed verizon wireless (deer creek) about two weeks before and rumors popped up and a phan happened to be feilding the emails. i just asked if phish was banned from the venue (i already knew the answer, but you know, have to establish dialoge somehow) and he responded by saying something to the effect of "not hardly, i can't say anything too particular, but they'll be here a few nights in july. i'm a huge phan too, can't wait." and the rumor mill about limestone in early august is all but confirmed (chamber of commerce shit, etc). i've heard tell of similar instances with the gorge and alpine. so i'm pretty sure that what we're seeing right now is close if not dead on. remember, they all said the were sick of forty show tours.
and they won't announce dates for a while. TAB dates are supposed to be announced by the end of THIS month and phish doesn't even kick off until a month after that. so expect phish official dates the end of april.

Other than that it looks good I'll be going to the Gathering of the Tribes National Rainbow Gathering over the 4th now and then I could hit the Phish tour back to the midwest all the way to Alpine if I could afford it. I mainly want to hit Shoreline, the Gorge and Bonner Springs. I really wish they'd do a banger tour so tickets wouldn't be so hard, yet I hope they keep they asses out of fucking stadiums. bbboooooooooooooo stadiums.

I hope those dates are more reliaable than the other rumors on that page, I've seen those before posted on a board someplace they look better than the other rumors I heard.

What a weekend! moe. rocked! the crowd was mostly locals, a few heads here and there but a pretty tame group filling the lower section of the stephens auditorium. moe. took off a little slow not doing much with Captian America(nice tour opener!)or Akimbo(short bass slap solo) but by Buster>Spine of a Dog they had remembered who they were and took us to some interesting places. Then came this second set, a pschedelic dance party my friends and I won't forget for awhile, non stop balls out jamming for over an hour with a huge St. Augustine and a bad ass slide solo by Chuck. The music didn't stop untill the ran off before the encore which was a nice treat itself... I hadn't noticed they left Moth unfinished and it offered a bit of mind fuck to thte night.

Got up around 1 and drove to Iowa City for P-funk and I had no idea what I was in for, after a dozen or so musicians got on stage they started to lay a nice groove everyonce in awhile the bottom would drop out with burst of energy that would get most uptight concert goer bouncing around. After what seemed like a couple tunes I heard one of the dirtiest nasty guitar solos of my life followed by a rowdy old man in a rasta marley shirt walking on stage. The crowd went nuts! I couldn't believe it I figured the crowd would stand stairing at the stage all night. Everyone got into it, I noticed very few with there feet stuck to the floor. George put on a great show and his presence was very noticiable in the music. He even took a blunt from a audience member and proceded to smoke the entire thing over the next few tunes walking around to give his band members a hit each. 2 fucking cops in the entire place and they let the free-for-all go on. I could go on about this show all day, they will definitly have place on my bands to see for along time, still not sure what happened in that hall, I have to see them again.

the bela fleck show on the 31st was truly amazing..I cant wait to see them at Bonnaroo...and the dead..Im glad they are having an east coast tour this summer...ill definitlty be going to alot of the east coast shows.

Adom - moe. in ames was awesome!! i always love the hometown throw down. I saw them in feb. in Az. too, they tore that place apart.
as for the summer plans i am going to go to 10,000 lakes and do the bonner springs>alpinex2>deercreekx3 shows. should be pretty fun. Derek Trucks is coming to Clear Lake sometime soon to, not sure of the exact date though, I will more than likely be at that show too.
oh yea - i haven't seen the official setlist for the ames moe. show but i think that the encore was sweet emotion > moth reprise. I am almost positive that they finished the first moth.

Ya know, that would make alot more sense to be a reprise. I want the tapes to that show. They are fucking tearing it up lately, I seen them in Chi town for NYE and couldn't believe what went on in the 2 years I hadn't seen them, they are definitly evolving.

I saw moe. for the first time in columbus oh this past friday.
they certainly rocked it!
ended with radiohead's 'karma police' which was very cool.
this summer, I am going to make it to Bonaroo (got my ticket wee!) and hopefully the Phish shows in indy.

yeah, opening for derek will be great fun, we're gonna work up his band's version of Use Me Up (bill withers) and see if he'll set in with us for a use me up>>one way out encore. our original stuff is improving i guess, but the conflicting egos become SO much more apparent when trying to arrange original material. its rough. i wonder if the band will still be around when derek gets to town.
i can't believe i missed the opening call (not that nebraska wasn't a cool opener, its one of my favorites. the only calls i got right last nite were crab eyes and st augustine (eight shows, eight st augustines). but, i did get to eat a HELLACIOUSLY good hit of blotter. tripped for about fourteen hours on one hit of paper. had a great time at the show, lots of fun, even though it was probably the poorest moe. musically i've seen.

i just caught Bela + Tones on 3/24 in baltimore, and dave matthews and tim reynolds on in Ohio on 3/31. both were steller shows.
a lot of ekoostik hookah shows coming up. 4 that i'm going to. hoping to catch SCI a few times again this summer, maybe some moe. too.
already got my DMB tickets to the Gorge in Washington state. best venue i've ever been to/on the planet!

Hell yeah man I can't wait to see Bela at the roo, right now I'm getting really psyched to see Panic for two nights in may. Gonna be smokin' I've been checking the setlist as of late and I'm really pissed I missed the opener and last weekend the chi town throw down, looks like the ball is up and rolling.
Now anyone heard anything from the tour?? sound as good as it looks on paper?

I'm seeing Pearl Jam on June 28th in Toronto, and I'm desperatly working on Neil Young & Crazy Horse June 23rd in Toronto, as well as possibly (very terrible seats, but worthwhile) to Ben Harper & Jack Johnson ~ June 15th ish also in Toronto. Could be a concert packed month. But I'm only definatly going to Pearl Jam, which will be good, but I'd most like to see Young out of the 3.

Damn Red Rocks is out cause I just put in for 3 nights of Deer Creek and 2 nights at Alpine, it's only lottery but we'll see how it goes. I also have to pick up my Dylan and the Dead tickets tonight for Chicago.
I got WSP's KC shows in a couple weeks and I'm still going to the roo' and 10,000 lakes.
Should be a damn good summer

For two people in one oceanview stateroom total final cost ends up to be about $2100. Of course, that's not including any booze, spending money, etc, so when all is said and done it'll end up being damn expensive. Luckily for me, my girlfriend has been rakin' in the dough lately and she surprised me with a ticket for my birthday!
If you haven't heard about it, another alternative which I suppose will be slightly cheaper is Jamcruise .

Those look like fun, I heard Phish came up with that idea and it leaked out and got stolen, Trey also hints that in a recent interview, great idea who's ever it is.
It is expensive but it sounds well worth for the mind blowing vacation you are getting. I like the alternative one when you get to see a group of bands, there is just no way in hell I could afford that.

Yup...got my Phish Bonner Springs tix the other day, getting my Alpine tommorow morning when they go on sale. Then also doing Panic @ Mizzou > Council Bluffs. I was at KC for panic a few weeks ago and that kicked some fuckin ass. They played that bluegrass imitation and I about shit my pants!! I would go see the dead but I'm not paying $60 for a fucking ticket, there is alot more better music out there that I could see for a fraction of the price.

I worry more about paying 48$ for Phish lawn seats than 58$ to see the Dead in a GA amphitheater. Those KC shows were pretty bad ass, I had a hell of a time, GMac is cool with me, I'm still a believer. I'll be at Panic in Council Bluffs but that is my only show that tour besides Bonnaroo, makes me happy to see that WSP is one band with reasonable ticket prices, I seen Panic my first time in Council Bluffs in 2000, for 25$, this years ticket was 28$, not bad at all After I spend this summer checking out some bands I've wanted to see for awhile I think I'll be focusing on Panic more than anything.
