For me there is a lot of evidence, anecdotal, factual, mystical, and so on. A lot of it is just based on intuition, and something innate in the stitching of my soul that tells me it's the truth.

Good for you, man. I was raised a Christian. I also was raised to act in a way similar to my parents. As I gained independence I soon realized knowledge was power and how to have a separate though process than my parents. I researched the bible frivolously and what I read was not what I believed. I was then presented with scientific facts that provide an alternate method of how we came to exist. I am much more based around facts than feelings nowadays.

But if you're able to ignore these facts and base your daily life around them, you must have a pretty strong feeling. So good for you for staying true to how you feel.

Well it's more than just the intuition and feelings but I appreciate that People who I look up to who are close to me and know to be very intelligent in hard sciences like mechanical engineers and math PhDs (MIT, Stanford, Naval Academy, etc) are also believers and have found interesting arguments in their particular fields that affirm their beliefs as well, so the evidence for me really draws from many different pools. Plus I feel that there are things we can't really ever explain beyond the how. The why is the hardest thing, and there are things I just don't need to know in order to accept them. I don't need to know every detail of why sleeping and eating makes me feel good, but I accept them as facts
