Seems that the raves are surprisingly much better in rural areas of America than So Cal. I remember a friend of mine went to a rave in Indiana and he said that the raves there have so much better vibes and real PLUR. In So Cal, there are tons of gangbangers and I've been to raves where people have gotten stabbed. :shocked:

Where i live, the culture is probably as far from peace and love as you could get.

I'm about to be 60 yrs old & was a hippie starting in 1969. A high school buddy & me took 3 yrs & hitch-hiked cross-country, plus went down to Mexico for a month just travelling around, meeting new people, doing any drug that came our way (& we did pay when asked).
We made it to San Fran in 1972 & we were too late. No more hipsters there...just junkies & hookers by then. Plus we weren't all 'peace & love' as I had to slice some punks who thought we were easy marks. We bathed regularly, ate good (but had to do some 'dine & dash'), stayed high mostly & lived day-to-day.
Never ripped off anyone, had many adventures/escapades, & basically didn't conform to what the 'suits' thought was the way to be. We made our own rules, but never hurt anyone who didn't have it coming to them. We lived simply, possessions weren't important...all we needed was some Microdot, Windowpane, or Blotter acid...a good concert with good people & life was much simpler then. If we wanted to see the Grand Canyon, we actually went to it without Googling the damn thing.
I'm all for a hippie resurgence. I'll wash down the LSD with some Geritol & watch you youngsters realize that you've stereotyped all hippies as unclean moochers, which is the farthest from the truth. :stoner:

Lol this thread is lolz so many stereotypes that often don't aplly to just "hippies" all kinds of dif people talk and act like that and I got lots of these so called hippie friends who don't ya know bumb my drugs and guess what they always share some of em bum but so do my preppy friends and my gangasta friends and its almost dumb to label people now a days isn't it. There's so much diversity that people who dress in all dif ways act in all dif ways and yah know I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they probably always did.your all probably basing your opinions on a couple of events and stereotypes you've Hurd along your travels but there are so many people in so many situations and you not one of you can possibly know any real percentage of them so much ignorance. And yah I would agree I have noticed a lot of super cool people being super nice latley and drugs are getting way better and music is more free spirited still fuck most pop music but anyway I've also noticed the asswholes seem to be ultra asses latley

I don't think hippie is the correct term. I do think that it will involve some sort of rebelion though. I could be wrong who knows. I hope for a change.

Yah I would agree most of them did but that's not really what I was getting at just that these stereotypes are not true and all dif people act in all dif ways and there isn't much meaning behind words like hippie anymore because some who dresses like a g can act like a hippie and vise versa it happens quit often really

Its not like anyone could register to be a hippie, its just a term people used for themselves or others.  Some people say it doesn't apply, others disagree.  They look the same and do the same type of shit so it seems silly to argue about it.
