i'm canadian and I mostly don't use metric... I mean I use celcius over farenheit damn straight but inches are so much better than centimeters for most things... and feet. Like who says 'oh I'm 183 centimeters tall' fuck that. I'm 6'.

Rarely, more like liter and milileter. Except certain car and printer products. Fluid ounces sometimes, but almost never pints.

I don't even know wtf a pint is.  I use liters and milliliters on a weekly basis at work, in the USA.  The US hasn't banned the imperial system but that doesn't mean we don't use metric.  Plenty of us do.

I used Newton-Meters today while torquing some bolts on my car.

Beer is rarely sold in pints in America. At some bars maybe but I don't think it's ever sold as a pint in a bottle. Beer pint glasses sold at bars are also like 100 mL smaller in the US than they are in the UK.

Those little milk cartons they sell at school are sold in half pints and blood is usually measured in pints though.

A lot of science and engineer fields use the metric system in the US.

Ive never once bought beer in metric, thats insane. Ill take a half liter (oops i mean litre) of budweiser :lol:

Of course the sciences use Metric, but consumer goods are always in imperial.
You buy pounds in weight and yards in length.




I guess I’m alone in liking imperial more than metric. Fuck Celsius and KPH (which is funny because when i exercise i use kilometers but driving I prefer miles)

There is good Canadian music but not Cory Hart or Barenaked Ladies or honeymoon suite or helix or sloan or the guess who or tom cochrane or jan ardenn or our lady peace or kd lang or 54-40 or blue rodeo or cowboy junkies or great big sea or loverboy, or Swollen Members, or sum 41. Almost all the radio Canadian music of last 40 years is garbage.

Good music: Arcade Fire, Fucked Up, Tragically Hip, Black Mountain, creepshow, death from above 1979 / MSTRKRFT, Gob, Chromeo, Zeds Dead, Tokyo Police Club, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, The Russian Futurists, The Planet Smashers, Plants and Animals, The Gandharvas, Alexisonfire
