I know a guy who lied to a company about other job offers he had. The company he was applying for called around and found out that he didn't have any other offers. The whole thing was blown wide open, the guy ended up all over the news, he made our university look really bad, and I think pretty much ruined his chance at any serious career.

Yeah, lying is a great policy :thumbup:

Also a few years ago it was found out that the dead of admissions at MIT had lied about having a masters for like a few decades lol. She was fired...

I embellish, but not even that much. Just little shit like closing the gaps so I dont look like an unemployed loser between jobs. I'm lucky enough that only the last place I worked at still has staff that was there when I was. Everywhere else is either out of business or changed everyone that no one there even knows me.

A statistician, essentially. My job function is a bit more detailed than that and pertains to the medical industry, but that's it in a nutshell.
