Really? I've never encountered that at any job (not that I would advise anyone to lie about it.)

OP, having your email address and first name visible on the images you posted may not be the best idea.

Oh also, I would not use a hotmail address.  That is very unprofessional and reminds me of 1998.  Get a gmail account.  If I was hiring that would big put-off for me.

personal traits in dot point form,
skills and abilities should be added,
also you really need references

You don't need references on your resume.  Typically if they want references they will ask for them.

no you really do need refernces on your resume. a resume without references would be treated as suspect. the references are your independant validation of what you've said. otherwise i could claim i'm the president of namibia

I have never put references on my resume and I hold a software engineering position at a good company.  If someone is interested in you, or they specifically want them, they will ask for references.

Get your diploma.

No good job is going to take you seriously without one.

No one is going to take the time to verify your high school education.

Also, references are a separate part of an application. They are generally not included on a resume.  Most hiring manager know they may specifically request references. There is no need to even put 'references available upon request' everyone knows this already

You will not get a job without your HS diploma on your resume.  Whether you lie about it or not is your choice, but if it's not there you almost certainly won't be getting a job unless it's doing construction or something like that.

Where would I put my HS diploma on my resume?

I put

Quote:
Education: 2009-2012

My Highschool, location

wouldn't the dates signify I graduated on time or have a diploma? Or would I simply have to put "HS Diploma" under a achievement section?

Dot points take up so much space!!  :grrr: and size 10 font is too small

dot points take up alot less space then full sentences/paragraphs, easier to read and comprehend.

also, i dunno, as far as i'm aware references are essential. like to the point that you cant get jobs out here without references, or are severely prejudiced for not having references. i know waht you mean about saying if they are keen to hire someone they will. but really, anyone can present as anything in a few 15-45 minute interviews. thats why they need the references, to prove ones track record and get independant verification of that person and what they claim.

Except when they ask to take a copy of your diploma/GED, which does happen.
