if you have read psilocybin production, thats all he talks about.. but its MUCH less efficient and less rewarding psychologically..(your babies)

The psylocybin prouction Tek talks about using Petri dishes and uses a complicated procedure... I dont know why he does that..
why not use a jar where you can grow a lot more mycelium? All we need is an edible substrate right?
How is it less ifficient,, actually growing the mushrooms is big hassle compared to growing mycelium...

I have a close friend that doesn't fruit the mushrooms because of legal/privacy reasons. He uses the regular honey tek(honey+water+spores) and lets the mycelium colonize the honey/water mix for 2 weeks. When the jars are fairly cloudy, he splits 1 half pint jar between him and his wife. They dump the honey/mycelium water in some hot cocoa to cover the taste. Then its bottoms up. He says 1/4 pint of the mycelium water produces a very intense experiance.
This way he doesn't have to actually fruit anything. And its much more difficult for curious eyes to detect what the hell it is he is doing. Not too many people know what the cloudy stuff in the jars is.

Im trying something with honey as we speak.
BUt I have not seen a tek for it..
I simply mixed honey and water and microwaved it for 5 minutes and then added the spores when it was cool..
I know the sterilization technique isnt the best but Im just experimenting and I havent had a problem with contams yet using sloppy sterilization..
Do you know where this honey tek is?

yes the honey tek is there, and hippie popularized it and can answer any questions.
I think lizards friend has really really good luck with potent mycelium, good for him, but I've never had it....I like shrooms anyway, they look like peni and I don't usually get to eat peni. honey water looks like beer, and I drink that stuff all the time.------------------

Uhh, this way wastes much more spores, or at least is less efficient. You have to buy new spores every one in a while, becuase you will run. I guess you could innoculate more jars with liquid from the jars with growth, but you would suffer great loss in potency in a few generations. Also, there is no way to tell if there is contamination or not. I guess this could be worth a shot if you want to trip soon, without much difficulty, but the plain old PF tek pays off better.
