Please help me ID this mushroom.

My noob guess on this mushroom would be that it is in the Mycena family. It is scattered in sections of my lawn in high numbers, along with Paxillus Involtus =o. It has a slight smell to it, yet I am unable to describe it. The mushrooms are very fragile and moist. Note that the cap has a nipple and a neat color pattern. Am I correct in thinking that if the spore print is white it is in the Mycena family? If anyone can tell me if I am right or wrong about the Mycena thing and help me get this mushroom down to the species I would greatly appreciate it.

Me thinks it's some type of Mycena.

they could be in the inocybe genus. although i doubt it because they look too small. those look like ones that i found a while ago. we suspected they were inocybe but they didnt completely match any of the descriptions so we threw them away and decided to grow our own.

They look and sound like Mycenas to me, too.

If the odor is faint, try getting a bunch of them at once in your hands, then cup them around them to concentrate the odor, and try sniffing again.

psychopsilocybin, they could be Inocybes, except that he came up with white spore prints. Inocybes have dull brown spore prints (or a color near that). I'm guessing you knew that, but just being sure. Identification of Inocybes is difficult - you need to use a microscope, and chemical tests are used by some of the specialists (which can add a level of difficulty).

I did find some Inocybes in August that looked a lot like those, except that the slightly more mature ones caps flattened out, and the gills turned brownish. The gills were "whiter than white" on the young ones, so it's good to keep those other genera in mind. I don't recall what species Orson Miller said they were (he did the ID).

Happy mushrooming!
