Was it growing in the absence of light? The caps of mushrooms usually won't develop until it finds some form of light. So identifying the mushroom could be difficult.

Coprinus radians, maybe, looks like a Mica cap with orange mycelium at the base of the stem. If wood chips were in with your manure this a good possibility.
