The link is "insideprison.com" life expectancies. So i assume it deals with life in prison but i don't see where it says that specifically. Otherwise it should correspond with govt actuarial tables. Are you saying everyone in that county you carefully picked has a short life expectancy?

I'm not saying that.  The site you linked says that everyone residing in the same county as Mr. Smith has a short life expectancy.

The reason it doesn't correspond with the table you linked earlier is that the table is the average across the entire U.S. whereas the calculator you linked narrows it down by race and county.

How low does one have to sink before he/she resorts to such accusations?

Apparently lawyer low.

There a shitty mod or two that would have banned me by now if that was the case.

Really? That's your case? :failboat:

At any rate, your statement that the prisoner is "almost certain" to die within ten years is obviously false. The most you've shown is that there is a chance he will die in prison within ten years. "almost certain" implies there is very little chance of surviving 10 years in prison.

There is very little chance of him surviving beyond 75 in prison, yes.

It's good to see you two agree.

You have shown nothing to substantiate "almost certain" to die within 10 years.

Well, sonny, that's the nature of predictions for the future.  If I had a reliable source for future predictions, I'd use it for lottery numbers.

Still, only 2.1% of federal prisoners are over 65.  Obviously less are over 75.

So you admit defeat and slink away?

No.  He will almost certainly die in the next 10 years.  I've already offered to lay odds on it.

I would like to bet on it but collecting might be a little hard. Also, the 10 year wait makes it unattractive. You could win tomorrow but i'd have to wait 10 years and then you've run off.
