Shroomery Innovation, 'Hall Of Fame' and New Moderator Candidates

ive been talking to some people in my head and i believe that their should be, The Shroomery Hall Of Fame.

Ive come up with some thoughts and ideas regarding it, hear me out.

Every year, 50 candidates will be chosen apon votes and then after the 50 candidates are chosen, another series of votes to decide the top 25 Members to be inducted into the Shroomery Hall of Fame. These members will have their own thread And Unique Badge to show off, similiar to the 'A' for admin, 'M' for moderator, etc.

Generally these would be good members who Follow the rules and lead by example.



Now moving on, I also believe 1-2 moderators every 2-5 years should be inducted. and this to done by a series of votes as well as Moderator and Admin discussion to declare the final new moderator. i personally believe Koods is already a good candidate and should be elected. I also believe Crystal G should be a Moderator as well.

this is all just an idea, im sure you have a way of choosing Moderators though, but it should be for the people, and voted by the people, and if change doesnt happen soon, the people may revolt

Its not really a popularity contest in that aspect.

you get nominees based on certain features of the poster, and then current admins and Moderators choose who is responsible enough.

Regardless, im throwing ideas on the table to spice things up.

There is a way that mods are chosen, and they're chosen on an as-needed basis, not on a schedule really.  I don't see that changing.

I also second it kind of seems like a popularity contest. 

Secondly, it could serve as incentive for people to play nice, but at the same time it could cause a division among members who think any hall of famers are teachers pets of a sort and wind up doing more harm than good.

Even still there would be members who "deserve" to be in some kind of HoF that absolutely did not follow the rules.

Disagree entirely about female moderators. I'm trying to think back to when a female mod did something severely innappropriate, and I can only think of one example vs. too many incidents of male mods getting out of hand.

i agree, Tymet used to get out of hand. he would ban me and then respond to my posts knowing i cant respond. he would also follow me around the boarda looking for every single lame excuse to suspend me. hes cooled down now after several members called him out as well
