How should I keep shrooms fresh while shipping them?

I've got a friend that can pick all the cubes he wants in a field near his house and he want's to send me a pound of fresh shrooms. He's going to ship them via overnight shipping and we have already worked out how to make the pakcage secure and inconspicuous.

My question is, how can we keep the shrooms fresh inside the box? He is telling me that if you put them in honey then it will keep them nice and fresh but I think it would be a mess to try to keep a pound of shrooms covered in honey. Is there any other way we can keep them fresh during the journey?

dry them, itll weigh a hell of a lot less, and be a way smaller package.

Dude, a pound of freshies? Goodbye forever if that gets nabbed in transit. I'd say just dry 'em so it'd be smaller; the honey idea is very bad, since it could leak.

He's shipped fresh shrooms before without a problem and they are being sent to an untraceable PO box with a fake return address. We've learned many tricks over the years by sending marijuana in the mail.

If we can get smelly dank nuggets through without fail then we should be able to get a pound of fungus with no distinguishable smell through.


Btw, drying them isn't an option since we need to have them by Thursday afternoon and it's Tuesday now.

wish i had a freind that generous, Maybe you could send some of them to a fellow OGer if you know what I am talking about....i say you let em dry don't send them fresh, it will be easier to send dry.

yeah, its really pointless to send them fresh. If you did, you need want to control the temp. and other factors that could cause rotting.

If they're being sent overnight, or even priority, it's NOT a problem. They're not going to spoil that fast.

When I was in Amsterdam, I had freshies in my backpack for 4 days before they started looking rough.

the best way ive kept shrooms from rotting s by
putting them in a brown paper bag
