honestly with edm and all these mega huge festivals happening, its clear this is another counterculture thats just as big as it was in the 60s, if not bigger

drugs are everywhere, sex is everywhere, everyone at festivals are really nice and always willin to meet new people just like in the 60s

in 20 years were gonna look back at this time period as a counterculture just as significant as what happened in the 60s

for me personally its DEF gonna go down as the best years of my life, i feel lucky to be basically the perfect age for all of it

its not an imitation tho, its just really similar cuz of music (festivals) and drugs

the hippie movement was partly a political thing too, always protesting whatever they felt like protesting.  no one these days really gives a shit about that aspect these days

They were young adults being different, it happens with every generation.  Most of the people bought more into the scene than the ideology, also Vietnam ended which was the biggest issue of that generation.  Its the same now for the most part.

As long as there is such a thing as society and government there will always be countercultures, especially in the modern age of today with technology and communication as advanced as they are

The more oppressively the government treats its people the more powerful the current of discontent becomes and the more determined the people will be to make a stand

Seeing where they ended up and the effects they had on society, I don't see whats to like. Except for the drug of choice.
