How Much Longer To Case These Mazapatecs?
    #19554677 -

Edit: Is the rizo Mazapatec getting close to needing its casing? Being not super white like my other experiences I am assuming it needs more time? It looks like it is just starting to forming hyphal knots though?

I have two small tubs, one Matatapec and the other Golden Teacher. The Mazatapec is very rizomorphic looking and strange looking and climbing out of the substrate, which is pure horse poo. It was inoculated with food processored PF Tek on 2/5. The GT was inculcated on 2/7. It is colonizing very robustly, quickly and how I expect it to look.

The Mazatapec has very fine fluffy mycelium and this super rizomorphic mycelium. I wonder if there is a contamination or other issue. It doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't smell very mushroomy either. Kinda dusty smelling. Mind you this is my first time with poo so I don't know what it is supposed to smell like. It looks like the mycelium are trying to climb out!

Why so weird and rizo and not super white and fluffy?

Now on day 6, I wonder if it needs its casing now? I can still see the brown poo through very thin and fluffy myc, unlike the GT which is very white.

No lid is Maz. Pink lid is GT. See how much whiter the GT is.

my brf jars are doing the same thing except it is growing up into the dry verm layer, I was told that it was good genetics and not to worry about it, and I was told to clone it and to keep the genetics going

As for why it's doing it I have no idea, I'm also pretty new to this

Thanks HappyLittleTrees! I haven't found that one yet. What a great resource. I wish it was stickied at the top.

Looks like this one!
