Substrate for Mazatapec - Help a rook

Is there any reason not to use the PF Tek substrate (brown flour, vermucilite) for this strain? I'm about to embark on my first experiments and was wondering if any experienced growers have any advice on the best substrate for mazatapec. I understand the importance of sterility but I want to make sure that I am going to use the correct substrate. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

I'm not real experienced but I have grown one flush of Mazatapec, and was very pleased. I followed the PF Tek to the letter, used Brown Rice Flour and Vermiculite. I've only done a few cakes, the Maz turned out good. I cased the rest using Jiffy Mix and CoCo Coir. The fruits I am getting are thin, but thats the first flush so we will see.
So tho answer your question - I would say yes.

Try whole brown rice and BRF together, Mazatepecs love it:)bluhoney

I have had experience with BRF with Mazapatecs. Worked great I cased them with 50-50. Got 17 grams from my first casing of them.
