I agree I suppose. I've also come to the conclusion that there's absolutely no other alternative other than stopping.

It just saddens me- weed was such a benign, cheap substance that brought me so much joy and now the high is so hellish.

It's so fucked up. Right before I'm about to get high, in my sober state I'm convinced that I've finally found internal peace and happiness with who I am, and the SECOND the high hits, all that just fades away. Like if someone were to ask me to rate how happy I am with life on a regular day, I'd say I'm at like an 8/10 (sometimes 10/10 if its a good day). When I get high, my view of life and my perception of how I am, becomes a -5/10. Self loathing, fear, shame, all that nasty shit just bubbles up to the surface.

I think it's because I smoked excessively. I started in second semester last year and blazed approximately 3 times a week. When the summer came, blazing 3-4 times A DAY became the norm.

Weed is very confusing and not all that pleasurable for me now. I feel ya OP, maybe not to the extent of hating myself, but when I'm sober i'm 100% happy and gregarious. One hit and i'm suddenly paralyzed, can't talk, can't laugh, think my friends hate me, and start over-analyzing everything down to whether or not I should get up to take a piss.
If it doesn't do anything for ya any more, why bother?
