Poo/Straw draining / drying time

The poop/straw, when pulled out of the water, shed quite a bit of water, but anytime pressure is put on the bag, it sheds quite a bit MORE water. Should I try to squeeze any of this water out of the straw? Thanks for the 411

squeeze out all you can .poo/straw should be moist, not wet .
fluff it up by rubbing between your fingers .
with poo in the mix, you shouldn't have to compress the substrate, like you would with straw alone .
mix in the spawn, and bounce the casing tray a bit to get the air pockets out .
and, it helps if you add a thin layer of just manure, so all the straw is covered .

I squeeze untill none comes out. Then I let it sit for a few hours and put it between 2 towels(Still in the pillow case) and stomp on it. This gets out any unwanted moisture.

It's pretty cool how everyone developes a system that works best for them.
My friend simply hangs the pasteurized pillow case of straw/dung from the fence in is back yard for a few hours and lets it drain. Nothing more is needed for the straw. He gives the horse turds a final squeeze by hand as he prepares the substrate for spawning.
