I'm very glad to have found this page as I recently went thru an experience that was so intense, something about it bothers me to this day, and doesn't quite let me soak in all the good that came from it. Please excuse me if my writing is a bit sloppy, not the best writer but I tried.

I attended a music festival (EDC) a few months ago and took some LSD a friend had given me. I didn't plan on taking any as i had partaken in other drugs earlier that day. (Cocaine, Molly and Alcohol). However a friend of mine wanted to try some, so he put a few drops of LSD in a cup of water. I had done LSD before, and with good results. This was going to be his first trip, and I knew it wasn't a good idea if he took all of the dose himself, so I drank half the cup and he drank the rest.

We began walking around the festival with a few other people and eventually decided to stay at one stage. My friend sat down with another one of my friends and he seemed to be relaxed. I started to have the fun visuals and danced for a good 15 minutes before I began noticing something was wrong.

I asked one of my friends who wasn't on LSD if we could all go somewhere more quite and relaxed, which was almost impossible at this event.
We eventually made it over to a grassy area where I felt a little more safe. I saw down, and all my friends sat with me in a circle, and we just listened to the music and talked. I saw my friend who had taken LSD quiet, and I knew he was slowly going into a bad trip. I could feel myself going into a bad trip as well, but I kept smiling and joking with him so he could feel relax and not scare him. However, I began to feel more and more like things were going out of control. Eventually I laid down on the grass on a friends legs who wasn't tripping. I could feel that breathing becoming a little harder and it was harder to keep my eyes open.
This is when it all went spiraling down. The physical world in front of me vanished and I went into a chaos of things I couldn't wrap my head around.
I could see how all the sad moments in my life were connected, same for happy, angry, exciting moments. I could see my self travel to different places in time, and saw my self as different people, in different times. This wasn't the bad part. The bad part came when things suddenly began to vanish slowly. It seemed like everything I knew was being taken away. I could hear voices yelling out names, places, objects, in order for me to keep focused on something. But I couldn't stay focus on anything. It was all to overwhelming. Like forces around me wanted me to stay alive, and I was doing everything I could to do so. Until it got the point where I couldn't anymore, and I asked to be let go off. I felt like I was constantly trying to stay on my feet, and when I would fall, I was put back on my feet. Something wasn't letting me go. I could hear voices yell and cheering me on. To not give up. It was the scariest feeling I have ever experienced. I was also trying to figure out something before I died, otherwise I would be lost forever. But I couldnt. Everything became dark and to me, it seemed I was dead or dying. And there was nothing I could do.

I was taken to the medical tents during this, and treated by EMTs, restrained on a stretcher. I could hear my friends in real life telling me to stay with them, people crying. Then I felt like I was being brought back from death over and over. Gasping for air. Eventually it stopped, and I could feel a cool breathe of air on my face, it felt good. Things became calmed. It had finally stopped.

My brain slowly began reconstructing my universe once again, all while going thru infinite different lives, situations, worlds. Some good, some bad, some sexual, some enlightening. I could see that the universe is a constant interaction between good and bad, and while at times it seems like its a fight between the two, one cannot exist with out the other, and there is almost a mutual respect between them. I was also shown that I had to find my real "personality" in order to find the truth. I had to figure out if I was a lover, a fighter, a nurture, a lost soul. There were a few different personalities shown to me, but the ones that I was having the most trouble deciding between were the "enlightened" who strive for learning, and helping other souls, and the lost, who need the enlightened to help them along. There were a few colors which represented the different personalities, which were red, the sexual, devious and careless. Blue, the caring, gentle and sentimental. Green, the energetic and fun, who just overcame being lost. And yellow, the intellectual and rational. And all of these are inside us, but one usually comes out more than the rest, and even when we are in dark spots in our lives (Red), we can count on the others to guide us, and help us along, so we're never really alone.
After this my trip became much more enjoyable, I began to see wonderful things that opened my mind to many things. And now have shaped my life for the best. However, the really bad parts of my trip still haunt me, and wish I could erase them, but know that with out them I would not have have the good in the end. I understood many more things that I would love to talk to about with other people, as reading all these experiences is already making me feel even better about it all. Im thankful I had it, I just wasn't ready for it, I didn't plan on it, and when I was going thru most of it, I was strapped to a stretcher. Not ideal for anyone.

Anyways, that's my story. I would love to hear any input from you guys.

Fuck beging restrained on a stretcher while trippingballs :sadyes:

So why did this happen? Did you guys have any idea how potent of a dose you took? A music rave is intense/awkward for me on a couple hits tripping like that at such an event would be less than ideal. Glad you survived and welcome to the shroomery.

I had an idea of how strong it was. My friend at the time said he had put one drop of acid in the cup of water. I stirred it with my finger and tasted it. Not really sure what I was tasting for haha. But later I found out he had put about 4-5 drops worth of LSD.

And a music festival was less than ideal, which is why I drank half the cup so he wouldn't trip as hard. The medical tent was near a "Hardstyle" music stage. So even when I would begin to feel better, some dark sounding song would drop and I would be thrown back into the bad trip. So glad I came out of it alive. My really good friend who was sober that night and the only one who was by my side the entire time, won't speak of what happened. So I don't know if I actually had to be resuscitated, or if it was just my trip.

What do you mean when you say he won't speak of it?  You asked him and he refuses to tell you?  Very interesting trip report though man.  Thanks for that.

How did your LSD-naive buddy make out--the one that drank the other half of the cup? You mentioned that he was starting to have a bad trip as well.

Know that 'living many lives, repeated rebirths feeling'

when you slap out of it, you wonder what the hell happened

then 'you' aren't 'you' next day, but new 'you', or maybe 'we'

but 'we' might not realize it till everyone around us realizes it

don't take too much too often

it happened to me on only 2 hits, but they were very strong hits
new person ever since, but mostly an improvement over the old self that was careless

now I've integrated it, I feel closer to myself than in many years...
but became a bit of a hippie in many ways, feel like I have to help everybody

spread the love perhaps, because if you have any it should be shared :-)
it was very spiritual to me(believe in god now and started meditating+nature), would never go back to the old self, my old self disgusts me (as in.. not sure how I could ever end up living like that... but then I remembered... stress made me live as my thoughts instead of who I am)

haven't had any problems in life since my old self was annihilated, before that they were everyday and careless about myself

He just doesn't mention anything about it, he acted like nothing had happened, even after they picked me up from the hospital the next day. And while tripping, I saw this friend as the one kind of helping me along and keeping me calmed. Don't know what to make of it.

He was also treated at the medical tent, but didn't go to the hospital. He said that it was all worth it in the end, and he was happy with what he saw. He didn't trip nearly as bad as I did.

I was in pretty bad times my self before this trip, was deff going down a wrong path. After this "trip" I have changed my life. I wouldn't say it's a totally new me, I'm still me, but now I know what matters in life, and things to stop doing and leave behind.

My trip was so intense I don't think I could play around with LSD any time soon. It was just way too much at once. At points it seemed like whatever, or whoever was trying to "enlighten" me, stopped and saw it was too much information to the point my brain was starting to crack and it could have ended badly. But I saw enough, to feel this connection with everything and everyone around me, and I would say I am better off now than before.

If anything, I think I certainly understood the part where you're shown that dying is not the end, but a switch to another part of your soul/brain/universe, whatever. And know I'm a much happier person knowing this. And that being a good person, and caring for others somehow is a building block to a ultimate purpose.

I can't believe I'm talking like this haha, few months ago I would have laughed at myself, but now, I'm deff a new soul. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Not all haha. I'm a regular to dance music festival and events. I was just at one this weekend. This guy one of the nights came up to me and my friend, he was already tripping on LSD and said he was starting to feel paranoid, like cops were after him. I could see on his face that it wasn't gonna go well. I remembered what I went thru and what I would have loved for someone to have told me to make me feel better. Long story short, I got him calmed, he began to come back, and a few minutes later was all good to listen to music and have fun.

-story was here-

I had a trip almost just like that once. In fact, the similarities are pretty striking.

At a festival about a year and a half ago - took acid at our campsite - a little later my group of friends and I head to the area with the stages to listen to a band coming on and on the way there I blacked out.

I wandered away from my pack of friends somehow and only remember fragments of where I was/what I did throughout the day until about 9 at night. One moment I was laying on the ground in a field, the next I was standing by some trees near a small pond, the next I was sitting on a hill watching helicopters fly around, and then after that I was walking through some bushes.

Then I have a memory of a group of people finding me and asking if I was okay; I don't know what I said to them but the next memory is of them walking me over to (what I was unaware of at the time) a medical tent.

Then my next memory was a guy in the tent handing me a bottle of gatorade and asking me a bunch of questions, and I sat there wondering how the hell I got there. After two or so hours of sitting down in the medical tent and coming down a bit I got worried that I was in legal trouble but everyone there said I wasn't and that I could leave whenever I wanted.

It took me a bit to soak that in, then I just left and took some molly/watched a few bands play then went back to our campsite and fell asleep.

Aside from those actual real-world events I can remember, I remember having this feeling like everything I knew had been sundered in a way which I can best describe as "cubes". My body, my friends, my memories, the world around me... it was all broken apart into tiny cubes. I could feel the agony in my entire body caused by being broken apart in this way, and slowly the cubes began to coalesce back into the world I knew it as, with my sanity returning last.

I very distinctly recall the moment when the very last cube of my sanity was put back in place, I was envisioning my body swirling around in open space and just by chance one of the turns I took resulted in my head engulfing and then combining with the last part of my sanity that hadn't come back. It was right after that moment that I opened my eyes to see the guy in the medical tent handing me the bottle of gatorade.

There was also this prevalent sensation through the entire trip which I can't describe whatsoever. And around two months ago I stole some ether from the lab I was working in and did a bit too much on accident. As I was all fucked up on that I got the same sensation that was felt all through the trip described above and I envisioned myself strapped to a hospital bed with a doctor leaning over me telling the other people in the room that I had died. My eyes jolted open at that point and I got this feeling of rebirth/continuity with the acid trip - like.... my awakening out of the ether was actually when I opened up my eyes after regaining the last fragment of my sanity during the acid trip.... and that all of the experiences during the year and a half between the two trips were simply imagined....

There's no way I can give justice to the acid trip on its own, let alone the combined long-term experience of the acid+ether.... I'll never forget it though.

Drugs, man.

That's pretty intense man. I think bad acid trips, don't have to be bad. For example, my trip was the most terrifying thing I have ever gone thru. But when it got good, it was good. And now Im a changed person.
I deff wouldn't recommend anyone do it just for the fun of it, it can be very dangerous, and from what I saw on my trip, there is a point where your mind can get stuck, and it's game over.

It sounds like you almost completely broke through, but instead were kind of in between this world and the Other.  Hard to break through with all that sensory stimulation.

Deff hard to break thought. The biggest feeling I had thru all this, was that a person or persons, were there for me, cheering me on, helping me along. And that I came extremely close to losing my mind. Not sure what the outcome would have been of me not making it. Dementia, death, nothing? Pretty glad I didn't have to find out.

but I didn't know I had changed... everyone around me knew
until a few weeks/months later then I knew

kinda spontaneous change, but then also slow self-improvement ..
but everything changed from one day to the next

don't feel like going back, not sure it is possible either, changed a lot since

more nature, less stress, more simple lifestyle

but the funny thing is I don't think my inner being changed, it was just my other identity that wasn't myself

so what do you do with the feeling of love from being yourself? :-) know the answer pretty well to that one, trying my best to spread the love to everyone around me..

definitely spiritual... I believe psychedelics are sacred as they show us our true nature

Where you on any stimulants? Amp/Meth? These can greatly increase trips and catalyze them in strange ways.

With any psychedelic, they are highly subjective in nature, its best to go into them each time like going into a dark room for the first time, withhold any expectations and any preconceptions, leave any transgressions at the door and just enjoy the ride. This may be something hard to put together in the moment at a festival. In the depths of that trip its best to remind yourself that there is no good/bad there just is, go with it, the universe has always guided me. I've had some highly fucking intense trips, taking ~600ug on 4-FA which allowed it to continue to gain intensity, until my friends found me on the sandy beach, pouring fractals all over myself, as I turned into a lotus flower.

There were feelings and ideas I gained laying on that beach soaking in the sun, that for the life of me I cannot shake.

I personally do not believe in bad/good trips, I believe its like learning anything the experience, like Spanish or math, it may be painful and confusing sometimes at first, but soon it all makes sense and things begin to fall into place, and the epiphany is revealed.

could have just been a panic attack ... i hear with panic attacks you don't die.. you pass out.  though that might have not been the case in your situation.  the breakthrough is extreme man.  there is no description.  imagine zooming through a mandlebrot fractal-universe for thousands of timeless years.  makes one feel like an old man.

I feel bad for those of you who've had horrible trips on L.
I have never even had a trace or whisper of a bad thought on L, let alone been close to a bad trip.
Perhaps I'm not taking enough to really reach that point where it's possible?:strokebeard:

Thats alright man I was looking for an excuse to skip anyway.

It is hard to describe a thumbprint. Human language cannot describe an experiance that is encompasses all of life. Every cell of every creature or living thing that ever lived or will live is connected by the energy or light. When we die are body and our ego is gone. We become one with eternity or the light or God or whatever name you wish to call it. A thumbprint allows this to happen and rerturn to our physical body. My first print I layed down and quickly realized that this was my actual death. You watch the whole process unfold with complete awareness.
I didn't cling to my body I just realized my life had passed. As I was spiraling up or out I saw my life evolve through the years I lived. The happiness, the sadness, the people I loved and the people I didn't. The joy that I gave and the pain that I caused. I saw the true nature of reality and why things were the way they were. As I got higher I saw the nature of reality on the cosmic scale and saw that the reason for our evolution was to experiance love. To love is to have experianced the finest of life. Then came the moment were it was time to let go. As I did it came for me and I sobbed uncontrolabley for I realized that the light or energy we call god or creation was perfect. It was pure unconditional love.
What else could god have been I realized. That glint of innocent perfection in a baby's eye. The light was pure as the heart of Jesus Christ. I dissolved into it and died. Since there was no me only the all ,I cannot remember the rest because there was no me to remember. After forever I slowly decended into my body.
I spent days awake afterwards talking to myself. I vowed to god to spread LSD so others could see the light. I vowed to look at every person as the lord and treat them as such.
I was reborn and continue to live by the values I learned. I became as active as I could spreading LSD. Year after year in hotel rooms with a pyrex pan and watercolor paper. Hoping excitedly that some of these hit's will help guide my brothers and sisters back towards the light. LSD is a direct message from God. Period. I don't think we get another chance. We can love each other or we can kill each other ,but it is up to us. As I always say in my threads as a reminder, my work with LSD ended years ago.

As for your question about eating and going to the bathroom. I don't think I ate for a week afterwards. As for going to the bathroom I hadn't eaten before hand at my guides advise so it wasn't a problem. I remember letting go as it got dark and coming back a lttle before sunrise. I was high for along time afterwards and as I said earlier you never fully return. I feel high all the time still and its been years.
Also I did many, many prints after that. I have eaten a lot of crystal but it was never like that first time.
I must stress that I was in the company of very evolved and older people that made sure my experiances were optimal. These were kind old spirits that had been were I was going many years before and many times. They held me as a baby every inch of the way.

You have heard of near death experiances right. A thumbprint is a beyond death experiance.
I have a rich life now thats full of good fortune. A wonderful wife and 3 children who are completely wonderful. Every day is complete joy. I couldn't ask for more, but I know it will end one day for good. I  await this day with no fear ,but the knowlege that that most rewarding and enlightening experiance of life is death.
