I don't think anyone would argue that less knowledge is better...
I believe that knowledge is key. It brings us together in harmony. It exposes lies and deceit. It allows us to understand.
I have devoted my life to the pursuit of knowledge.
Have you?
If not, why?

I don't know if knowledge brings people together *in harmony* all the time.

Yes. My life is dedicated to constantly learning from life experience, thus gaining knowledge. This is evolution, the perpetual spiral of accumulating wisdom. Ignorance IS bliss. But not the way to true understanding and happiness. Knowledge can be suffering, but that is yet another lesson in which to gain knowledge from. To change the world you must first understand it, and start with yourself. To understand it you must experience it and gain knowledge. There is no end. The purpose of life is to evolve; mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This is accomplished through constant life lessons through experience. Through experience we face challenges and life lessons, if we learn from them, we gain wisdom, and move on to the next lesson. Life, to me, is all about gaining wisdom through experience.

Trendal said "together in harmony".
That is what I was reffering to. I should have quoted him.

I do not think that knowledge covers anything up. Greed and mistrust cover things up, and it is usually knowledge itself that is covered.

Knowledge itself can be used for many purposes. Knowledge itself does not create harmony or goodness. Maybe I don't understand precisely what you mean by knowledge.

Knowledge shall set you free...
Perception and awareness of what is going on always help, too, and I guess they come with knowledge...
Eh, what else is there to say, especially after Shroomism showed up? (Kudos). Peace.

knowledge unapplied is worse than ignorance. knowledge comes from books (or webpages). wisdom comes from experience.

I think application of knowledge leads to wisdom and a wise person knows how to live happily.
I can't see how ignorance is bliss. to me ignorance is one of the worse things someone can do to themselves. sure knowledge brings on some suffering, but what good is enjoyment without knowing what suffering is first?
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.
