I tend to disagree magick can be a powerfull tool to speak to your own subconcious. Basiclay you can use it to make things happen without you even knowing about it. By this i mean your sub-concious can place you in the right place at the right time if youi kinda know what i mean or even say the right or wrong thing to people without being totaly aware with whats being said.
