How much would it cost the welfare system to have a caseworker come visit each person on wellfare? It's like the deal with drug testing for welfare in FL. Ended up costing too damn much moneys, and a very low percentage of abuses were documented.

Yep I was saying similar earlier. The amount each person gets is pretty much fuck all anyway, why spend extra on useless bureaucracy to stress them out and humiliate them? I wonder how much of total US "welfare spending" goes to the administration side rather than actual recipients. Downsizing the whole bureaucracy down to bare bones and just mailing out checks would be a lot simpler.

I always hear you complain about Welfare for the poor, but I never hear you say one thing about corporate welfare, which costs the tax payers allot more.

Corporate welfare can be defined as federal subsidies to profitable, well-established industries that do not need them. These subsidies can take different forms, including direct payments, preferential tax treatment, or government-backed insurance policies.

Some of the most profitable industries in the world, such as oil and gas companies, still receive billions of dollars worth of subsidies from taxpayers every year.

Subsidies such as preferential tax rates for select industries distort free market forces and put Congress in the position of choosing winners and losers. Many industries that receive some form of corporate welfare from the federal government also manage to spend millions on lobbyists and campaign contributions every year to keep these very subsidies in place. Federal subsidies to profitable corporations are a waste of tax dollars and Congress should eliminate them immediately.

Well I agree.  And who gives them that money?  The Government.  But while we are at it, what subsidies do the oil companies get.  Subsidies.

By the way, who made more profit from the Oil that exxon produced--Exxon or the federal government?  Tell me which one is greedy after you find the answer to that.

that's not the point.  the point is the government lets them get away with it that's how they keep themselves in power.

By the way folks, if the government raises corporate taxes, who pays?  The corporation doesn't.  they pass it on to the consumer.

That is why I think the progressives are so underhanded.  they raise taxes on corporations, the corporations pass it on to consumers, and then the consumers complain because the prices are higher.  The government gets their cut and no one blames them.  LOL.....vote Progressive...vote suckerplay.

They should add regulations keeping them from raising prices, and from shipping jobs overseas for cheap labor.

Also... I don't vote.

If they do that, they will close their companies.  You can't force corporate behavior without facism or central control.  You can't force companies to operate if they don't want to.

As for not voting--then don't bitch.  You don't have any skin in the game.

Yeah I'm sure all the corporations in the richest country in the world would close because of regulations.

If there was someone who shared my political interests on the ballot, I would vote for them. You shouldn't be allowed to complain after voting in the idiots we have running the government.  And you can't honestly call regulating corporations fascism... Fascism is the merger of state and corporate power.

"Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power".

Let me give you a tip Starfire...

Instead of bitching online about the unjust of welfare scum scamming the system. If you notice firsthand a person rolling a lexus, paying cash with a wad of 100's for booze, and then whipping out the white card to buy pepsi and fruit loops, write down the mother fuckers license plate, call your local county office, and report the assholes for welfare fraud.

Then, an investigator comes into the mix, tracks um down, and re-evaluates.

Looking at my local newspaper, this has happened at least 3 times in July and all 3 of them got arrested, and owed 1000+ back to the state/county.

Get fucking pro-active about it, or let the money fall from your pocket. But don't get crazy. The dude in the wheel chair using food stamps, and still buying alcohol should get a fucking pass.

You live in a wheel chair your whole life and tell me you won't buy some booze with the left over money.

Word?

Also, chances are if they are on welfare that caddy they are rockin' aint theres. Cause let me tell you... You CANNOT own a car worth over 20,000 dollars, and you can only save 2,000 at a time. Everything else is tracked, reported, and monitored.
