Neither.  I'm a graduate student with a job.  I suppose you could call me a leech in the sense that I have student loans from the gov't.... but if you're against that - then you're just retarded.

Having a student loan does not in and of itself make you a leech.... although the government has no business doing that kind of thing.

are you kidding?  While it may not necessarily be identified as one of the principle roles of Gov't that was laid out in teh constitution - it certainly makes sense from an overall standpoint.

What the government is essentially doing is INVESTING in the future of its WORKFORCE.  By providing us with the money we need to go to college, it allows us to learn, acquire more skills, which leads us to be more productive individuals in the US workforce, which will cause our economy to be  more strong & resilient in the long-run.

It's an awesome program, and any national government with any sense (and the fiscal ability to do so) would be wise to implement it.

You're right though.... we need more college grads that can't get work in their chosen field. We need more people with a feeling of entitlement. We need more brain dead fuckwads who are unable to think for themselves.

What makes more sense is if the people that go to college are the ones who will work hard to get there. What makes more sense is only the best and the brightest go.

What we have now is a system where fuckwads and halfwits whose main skill is the ability to sign a piece of paper get to go to school when they'd be better served in the workforce.

No, it's not the business of the government to fund this in any way. It's sad that they do loan-boy.

Ive met to many people with legitimate reasons for being on welfare to respect those beliefs. The concept of letting people die because they can't work at the moment seems primitive to me. A well working social security system is one of the main things which creates a well functioning society, ive witnessed this in my own country and feel sorry for people who don't get to benefit from such a system.

I could get calluses on my fingers typing about this subject but I will try my best to sum it up.

Someones relative in politics needs a gravy job so they file for grant money "free money" to start a social program. It looks and sounds like a nice thing for the Community and it is to an extent but understand that for the lazy bastard to get more grant money "free money" next year he has to show that he spent it all this year "mostly on himself" and there is a need for more.

In doing this they run the program with a blind eye, meaning they dont look at the diamond rings on the fingers of the poor girls that come in driving a new car that they claim is their moms "pimps" to get her welfare for her four kids with four different deadbeat fathers.

Im a stripper and only one of few that are not on welfare. All my coworkers tell me to just get knocked up by one of the customers so I can get on Housing, Wick, Food Stamps, Welfare.... Its CRAZY! Since we get paid in cash there is no reported income so most strippers are driving new cars "the ones that arnt on crack" and they have 10 different boyfriends that give them money and they just party all the time while their parents raise their kids and they are on welfare.

Some will go to school so they dont have to look for work but when they finish the course they just start a new one cuz they dont really want to work. Part time school, stripping and partying.

I know may people that sell their foodsatmps for fifty cents on the dollar so they can buy alcohol and drugs. Thats Fucked! I do think we need to have a social program but I also think it needs to be monitored better.

I think if you go asking for help cuz you cant take care of yourself and/or kids you should be put on birth control to stop the need for further help. There are a lot of girls that will get pregnant again just to get more welfare money. I personally got an IUD put in so I dont have to worry about pregnancy for 15 years and I think anyone on welfare should have to do the same.
