How much had you seen the shroomery before you registered? Why did you become a member?

I had come across this site a couple times when I was googling about psilocybin mushrooms (which I still haven't gotten to try yet) as well as once in a while about weed.

I registered originally to ask some specific questions that pertained to me trying shrooms and quickly found out that this isn't like avsforum or notebook-review where it's an information/question and answer/news repository, but rather... I saw that this was an awesome community where people care about eachother and get to know eachother.

I have also really enjoyed getting to become part of the Chilluminati->Warminati->Kronik0->DTChat family and getting to know awesome people like Zee, Kroniko, Phex, Buest, MisterS, Traveller, CounterCulture, Sheekle (who has been missing lately), Thoughts, Friskie, Babylonia, Deadwalkk, K00laide and many more than I could list here.

I browsed for about 6 months before I joined. I could tell it was the 'go-to' site with a tight-knit community and I was eager to learn from the greats here, the longtime members.

Make a tea out of it, there's recipes around. Alternately you can chase it with a shot of whisky, will wash the taste right out (in a good way)

I used to lurk this site from like the age of 13, and I'm 25 now. For some reason when I was 12, I wanted to try psychedelics like LSD and mushrooms and had zero interest in any other substance, including marijuana.

I remember before the pub split from OTD, lurking and reading about different members, all without having an account. It was like some weird text based reality show. I wanted to wait until I was 18 for some reason, and then when I actually turned 18 I felt like I had nothing to contribute so it took me a while to actually register an account. :lol:

Fair enough, I just find it kind of hard to believe you have 11,000+ posts on a website called "The SHROOMERY" and you don't do mushrooms.

I never lurked, me no thinks.  Maybe for a day or two.  I've been around forums and online communities forever - so it wasn't very hard to transition over, nothing really stopping me from registering.

I think I first came across it in 98 or so and printed out the magic mushroom grower's guide on my mom's printer. I then kinda forgot about it till 03 when I was living in the Pacific Northwest and started wanting to go hunt mushrooms. that was when I signed up and first hunted P. azurescens.
