Constantly Sore Throat?

For the past month or so my throat has been going through phases of being sore and not being sore.  The first week I started to feel like this I was hacking up phlegm and coughing, but that quit being an issue after a few days.

Now, it just feels very scratchy and tight and I sort of feel mild discomfort when I swallow.  This gets a lot worse when I smoke or when I drink caffeinated beverages.

I have been taking Vitamin C supplements every day to boost my immune system, but despite this the discomfort seems to subside and re-emerge from time to time.  It almost feels like a persistent form if inflammation.

Although this doesn't seem to be a major issue, I am pretty concerned about it.  Do you guys think I should go see a doctor about this or will it go away on its own?

yes see a doctor, seems like your coughing would of made your throat red raw and sore.. you should get some sore throat tablets 2 take in the mean time.

When you have a cold, your snot drains out your nose, but all other times (normally), your snot drains down the back of your throat and into your stomach. If you're body's making too much (due to allergies), your throat will get irritated. Get a pack of 12 hour pseudoephedrine. You'll be fine in 2 or 3 days.

Squeeze a lemon, mix with some warm water and salt. Gargle.

Repeat 2-3 times a day as needed.

You might have GERD, look it up it's pretty much acid reflux...

Sore throat, chest pains, constant cough, ect...

I had GERD for like a year and a half, got so annoying I had to go to the doctor and take some pills for a few months to make it go away.

It was like I had heartburn for over a year, always sore throat, constant cough, all that stuff.


It sucked big time.
