discomfort in testicles
    #3756811 - 02/09/05 05:47 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Ok, not sure what is up with this...
i dont see/feel any swelling or any other abnormalities or lumps or anything, but I am experiencing some abnormal but very minor discomfort in one of my balls when ever pressure is put on it.
it's been like this for a few days... doesnt seem to be getting any worse. other than that I feel fine.
I don't feel any discomfort unless I try and put pressure on it a certain way.

I'm planning on talking to a doctor in a few days if it doesn't go away.

any info on this would be much appreciated.

I've pulled a groin muscle before that somehow struck a nerve in my balls, and would hurt a bunch, so it could be something like that. It's a VERY good idea to see a doctor though, I'm guessing you're in your early 20's, and that's the most common time to develop testicular cancer...

any specific location that hurts the worst?

could be the preliminary symptoms of epidiymitis - caused by bacteria I believe

Still, go see a doctor better to see one than risk a problem.

I would wait a while and see if it goes away, if it's still there in a couple of weeks I would see a doctor.. hopefully it is just a pulled or strained muscle and not something more serious. Coughing or sneezing too hard can also cause these sorts of problems, I have been a little sore from constant hard coughing in the past.

I don't think waiting a couple weeks is a good idea.  Just get it checked out now.  If you just pulled a groin muscle, then there is nothing to worry about, but it could be something more serious.  I have experienced something very similar to what you described, but it went away in 2-3 days.  My advice:  See the doc

Could be a hydrocele. It's when a pocket of water forms on a testicle. Could be from an injury. I had similar problems and got an ultrasound done. They found out that I did have a hydrocele. It's nothing serious though, usually goes away by itself.

i've experienced teh same thing. it always seemed to follow periods of relatively frequent ejaculation and was often accompanied bya slight strained feeling in the pc muscle. s that naything like wht you're noticing?

and now for some humor: "a quy walks into the doctor's office and says "doc it hurts when i do this". the doc turns to hims and says "don't do that.""

Aw, man. Testicular discomfort is the shits. I've seen a doctor at least twice in the past few years because of testicular pains and such. I went through the examination (including "turn your head and cough), and resulted in having no concrete explanation. The physician simply stated that the pain could be due to the fact, since on testicle hangs lower than the other, the veins can become swollen/sensitive in the testicle (usually left).

Get checked so that you at least have the peace of mind.
