water, shower, rest
I have a honey that I bought here on oahu and it's so strong that it cures sore throats.
You could take medicince, but I always figured that it's not worth it to take medicine unless it would really help. My sore throats take care of themselves in a timely manner, so long as I get the proper rest. Even if I don't...
Just take it easy and deal with it.

Gurgle salt water (it works). Take cough drops. Yell at the top of your lungs (plese don't).

When I was a kid I couldn't stand doing this, hahaha.
This is seriously the best thing for a sore throat, other then not smoking.

*warm salt water
yea, it works great, just don't swallow the water
When I got sick last month, I'd gurgle salt water about 6 times a day and my throat would feel fine until 12-24 hours later

I'll gurgle some right now (well, that's a lie I'm waiting until morning)
At least running really takes my mind off it

^ as mentioned, warm salt water has done great for me. also if u can find melaleuca oil (tea tree) preferably formula T-36 C5, put a drop of it in a cup of hot water and breath the steam through your mouth. it may taste not the best, but it will not only destroy any fungus, bacteria, germs, and any other nasties, but it will help break up tar and excess phlegm, alongside of healing your woes.
