Good karma or simply coincidence
    #18422991 -

Today while eating breakfast in the backyard, a little black dog wandered in. After  offering the dog crackers, I managed to get close enough to get the dog collar. After calling it in, I got in contact with the dog sitters who were taking care of the dog while the owners were out of town. They lived close by, and came over and picked up the dog. They were obviously very grateful, and I really didn't mind helping them at all. I enjoyed playing with the dog and feeding it crackers, so it was more enjoyable then a chore really. I can't own a dog right now because of my living conditions, so it's nice whenever I get to play with one.

Anyhoo, after that I was reading the I am a strange loop tread in PS&P, and it made me think about my friend from school who also read strange loop at the same time as me, and we had one conversation about the idea of how we have pieces of ourselves in each other's minds, and this was what friendship is. This made me think of how good a friend he is. Then shortly after he sends me a text, apologizing for not paying me back for a decent sized quantity of weed we split a few months ago, and he would come pay me back as soon as possible.

This is the clearest example of 'good karma' I've seen happen in my life, yet at the same time, it's also quite clear to me that it could just be coincidence. I'm not really arguing for one side or the other, more interested in what you guys think. Karma or coincidence? You decide.

Karma may operate by or on coincidence at a frequency greater than mere chance called synchronicity.  This IMO is partly due to an illusion of separation and some sort of intelligent autonomy where the world observed becomes a purposeful message when meanings become conclusions.

Minds are possibly controlled by intelligent entities that arrange meaning and partly govern decision making by way of thought insertion and subconscious suggestion.

These entities can fulfill your will or trap you in a game of obedience.  They can move one to action.

I'm not saying your friend was forced but ideas come from some where.  Perhaps it was your will manifest by way of some telepathy or the doing of an angel.

I don't think anyone could do that without you having proved to yourself that you have had past lives. I only know how to transform the karma we have here today after being conceived/developed intentions.

A silver bird
flies over the autumn lake.
When it has passed,
the lake's surface does not try
to hold on to the image of the bird.

This sort of thing happened with a good tripping buddy of mine. We had a few telepathic experiences and after that it seemed for about 6 months solid he'd call at all the right times. Life is very strange. Now he's in prison and I'm enjoying some awesome summertime activities. The only trail I've been able to find explaining the difference leads back to childhood and seems out of either of our hands.

How did you feel about it when it actually happened?

What did you think about it after it happened?

Entirely coincidence.  Basically you could have ignored the dog and it would have continued to be lost and the dog's caretaker would have continued to be more anxious, maybe the news would have reached the owner and ruined his vacation... So in that sense, you certainly did help out, but the reward you got was enjoying the dog when you can't have your own.  Maybe it will inspire you to volunteer at an animal shelter or something so you can spend more time with pets.  That would be good karma IMO.

Edit: my point is, focus on what brings joy into your life, that's good karma.  Not placing meaning into some weird serendipitous occurrence that could be considered slightly obsessive compulsive (if i don't save a dog when I see one, some random shitty thing will happen to me or vice versa).

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

When it happened I was in the zone, and everything had the vibe that everything was unfolding as it should, and I didn't really even think of it as a weird coincidence until later. What I thought later is basically my op. Feelings =/= truth, and as far as I can tell it could be either one, and I'm not really that interested in finding a answer.

I don't believe it is a coincidence. My friends and I call that the Telepaphone. John Lilly called it the Cosmic Coincidence Center.

I also don't believe that is what I would consider karma. Telepathy, yes, but not karma.

Think magnetic field interactions.

Yes, fields are weak. The human biofield is on the order of 7 microteslas but an experienced practitioner of the magnetic arts (i.e. Chi) can ramp this up by a factor of 100,000.

Field strength only determines the signal:noise ratio over a given distance - as long as the SIGNAL is recieved field strength does NOT MATTER. Whether you have one bar of signal on your phone or fifteen, you are still making phone calls.

All of our thoughts emanate a trace that ripples outwards from our bodies and into the vast cosmos. As long as that information is transmitted in some way as to reach its target uncorrupted, then any field interactions will likewise create these scenarios.

Karma after all, is cause and effect. There is nothing more to it and equally nothing less.

Then there is also the fact of a single cause creating two effects. So a dog runs by you, and both you and a friend say "look there is a dog" despite not seeing each other. Is this telepathy/concidence/karma/whatever? No. A single cause branches out into an effect on two minds. I realise this is not the best example but you can see where I am coming from. The cause also could be something totally totally obscure like a single grain of dust fluttering somewhere, yet the effects of chaotic interaction create a real response from the subtlest flows.
