I've only grown psychedelic sclerotia but those certainly look like sclerotia to my eyes. I would keep giving them time and I bet they will present themselves more clearly in a week or two.

:congrats:
Awesome work.

so are you preparing an outdoor patch, or are you gonna try to recreate outdoor conditions, do the impossible, and try to fruit them indoors?

This blonde project was a bust. I got the culture in a trade and spent alot of time on it and then it fruited...........fruited friggin oysters ! dammit!

The bkacks form sclerotia on plates but never did anything in grain or on wood.

I've now cloned a local blonde Morcella esculentoides. Its looking nice.

I also germinated some half free morel spores and have it in grain. Its ready for a sub, just gotta figure it out
Plus I have about 4-5 species from around the USA toto try out.

Haha ya it was a bummer! Someone mixed up their cultures or something. I should have recognized oyster myc, but live and learn, I will never make that mistake again hopefully!

Beautiful pic Versicolor.
I'm playing around with a few plates of this right now.  It still amazes me how fast this guy is.  Struggled a bit with the clone but the spores I played with went from plate inoc to 100% colonized in four days.  Dang thing doesn't really fit into my weekend only transfer schedule.
I have no illusions of actually fruiting it inside but it is fun to watch how fast it grows.

After a single transfer of my esculenta clone, the myc covered 1/3 of the plate in 18 hours.
