A Few Pics From Path Clearing
    #18320828 -

It doesn't happen often, but I am happy to report that I talked the wife into accompanying me on a forest hike. She is normally quite reluctant to do so with all the ticks and chiggers I battle upon my returns from previous hikes. Her major incentive to go this time was a new pond I located on google earth in the middle of the woods about half a mile from our home. The woman LOVES to bass fish, let me tell ya. I created a monster when I turned her on to her first 3 pound catch over ten years ago. The only stipulation was I had to clear a path for Mrs. Princess as we went. So with freshly sharpened pruning snips in hand, we set out on our adventure. Of course I was mushroom spotting along the way and snapped a few photos here and there. I think the batteries are needing to be charged. Some of the macro quality beginning to suffer. Please feel free to ID these if yall feel confident in doing so. I collected a few specimens and spore printings are in process.
Found these in meadow bottoms. Slightly spread out but still close together.

First Puffball I have ever witnessed growing from wood.

These guys were so young the veil still covered the gills.

I see these on a constant basis. The wife is the interested one on these.

I was not certain about these, I am leaning towards Panaeolus papilionaceus but I'm not 100% on that decision.

Some BEAUTIFUL Pan. pap specimens.

Somewhat camera shy I suppose...

A small portion of my hunting grounds.

Turtles just don't seem to care much for the paparazzi.

And finally, The forgotten pond.

All in all it was a good hike. As much as I do love to trek alone most of the time, it was nice to have the better half along for a change. Hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we were able to. Until next time...

I think 3 is more Pholiota veris (Kuehneromyces rostratus), I've still been finding a ton of it...
