Okay, maybe he wasn't born ill. Maybe he just became a sick piece of fucked up shit somewhere in his early teens. Just like a sick animal that is violent, you put it down humanely and forget all about it. You don't lock it up and try to teach it to be submissive. You don't teach it into being safe, because at heart there is something wrong with it.

he's an attention seeking kid who by the sounds of things grew up with his grandparents probably without much discipline. you can see in his face he knwos whats going to happen, but he's putting on a brave front. inside he's scared shitless, but he's come too far to do anything about it now.

don't give him the time of day, clearly he's not worth it. just unfortunate someone who spends too long playing video games got his hands on a gun.

shit like james holmes though is a different thing, to me anyway.

We don't put down people just for being sick. It's sort of horrible to say that, IMO. A mental disorder is just like any other disorder of the body. We don't put people down when they're sick, we try to make them better. The brain is incredibly neuroplastic, especially at a young age, and just like the body, severe disorders can be reversed. In this case I don't even know if that's possible but I think it's imperative that we try to learn from the kid's disordered mental state rather than just killing him. :shrug:

What good would the death penalty do? I never understand why people want the death penalty for horrendous crimes. It would be getting off easy for the kid anyway, life in prison is WAY worse than just ending life. Life in prison means you are actually paying for what you have done. Now, I know US prisons aren't ideal for this because they're all about for profit work but ideally a prison should make it's inmates give back to the society they harmed.

Sometimes I think people underestimate the intensity of receiving the death penalty when they say that it's not as bad as life in prison.

Yes maybe your torment will be ended sooner.  But just think of the surreality of knowing that you there is a set amount of time until you die, and just sitting in a cell, helplessly watching as time passes and you come closer to your certain death.

It's a feeling none of us can imagine, and I'm sure it tears death row inmates apart.  Especially when their death comes very near.  That must be the worst feeling ever.

Not necessarily advocating the death penalty, but I'm not so sure that life in prison would be worse.

I bet so much that a member of one those families is going to pay someone in jail to rape him after hearing that shit. Either way, he's going to get raped for sure, and no one will feel bad for that little fuck. He'll be screaming for help, and those prison guards are just going to laugh. If I go on a rampage and kill you and your family, then laugh about it in your other families face, I deserve the worst that humanity has to offer. I don't deserve 'the prospect" of rehabilitation or even life in jail. It doesn't fucking matter what my childhood was like or what mental illnesses I had, shoot me in the fucking face.

I understand where your intentions are, but you seem delusional if you think that people this far gone are capable of ever being a contributing member of a progressive free society, or if we can learn ANYTHING by keeping them around other then DONT FUCKING DO THAT.

Also our judicial system is not built in a way that rehabilitates criminals and murderous behavior, it encourages it.
The guy is a fucking murdering sociopath. If let free he would do it again with glee.
It should be locked away forever or put out of its misery so it can't contaminate the rest of society, we have absolutely nothing to gain by taking it easy on someone like that.

Some people can't be fixed, and some people don't deserve it. I don't know if he could be fixed but he definatly does not deserve to be. Not after how he acted, If I was in that courtroom, and he killed someone I loved and acted the way he did I would lose all sensibility and completely lose my shit.

I'm glad they don't kill him, I hope he lives another 70 years and rots in jail. Fuck human rights, through his ass in a tiny cell and let him see nothing and no one for the rest of his life.

Things like this makes me feel sick and very angry.

At first, before reading it, I was like "cool this guy told some ppl to fuck off". I am always down with sticking it to the system.

Then I realized that he is talking shit to the PEOPLE not the system. This kid is a little faggot douchebag who probably wanted gay sex but was too pussy to come out of the closet so he just checked himself into the gay resort.

Seriously though, I hope this little fucker get's beaten up every day for the rest of his life. What a waste of energy.

Although, this is what I have been talking about all along. The purpose of life is for the supreme consciousness to experience EVERYTHING, the good and the bad. This is just part of experience manifesting itself in reality. A shame, but it's going to get much much worse.
